Blown away by this “CafeMilan” setup.
Whatever we’re doing with CafeTO we should consider doing it differently.

Stelco is efficient and can make steel cheaper than it’s US competitors, so its competitor purchased it and is trying to shut it down.

The Ford government knew there was a scam going on with OSAP at a handful of career colleges. Instead of stopping it, they cut funds to all students. Now they've frozen OSAP for private career colleges that had nothing to do with the fraud.
The knew it. They chose not to act.

32 fatalities over 20 years is 1.6 per year, so for 6 years we would predict ~10, 1 in 6 years works out to a 90% reduction which is really good, especially when you consider cycling kilometres traveled is way up.
These 32 #BloodBikes commemorate the 32 people killed on Bloor, Yonge & University in 20-years before bike lanes were built.
After bike lanes were installed only one tragic loss of life has occurred in 6-years since 2020.
Bike lanes keep EVERYONE save, not only people cycling.
Ah, Lafferslop
BC Conservative platform is out conservativebc.ca/plan/ - I’ll take a closer look but at first glance, don’t see a detailed plan to pay for major promises incl. big income tax cut other than talk of accelerating economic growth. Deficit reduction similar to NDPs. More to come
Unfortunately the median Ontarian is not going to be supportive of hiking PST 5-10 percentage points.
When the housing discourse is perpectually torn between business "vibes" and corporate "providers", who's speaking on behalf of existing tenants being priced out and future tenants being gauged? @leilanifarha points out the "missing middle" is actually just the missing government

Will actually make traffic worse and now cyclists will be mixed in with vehicle traffic causing annoyance to drivers.
Finally. The Bloor bike lanes are getting the only treatment they’ve ever deserved: removal.
Chow spent years treating a handful of cyclists like the most important people in Toronto while everyone else sat in traffic.
Long overdue. Good riddance.

My family declared for the Crown in the 1770s because they didn't believe political legitimacy derived from how big a vigilante mob you had. They resisted in 1812 because they didn't believe "liberty" came from US soldiers looting their houses.
MAGA is just the latest version

Is it too much to ask for publishers of articles advocating for cycling routes on secondary roads in Toronto to require their authors to submit a proposed alternative?
@RDiManno, is this the sort of secondary route you're thinking as an alternative to the Yonge Street lanes?
