Tulane Green Wave Season Preview: Pats Deep Dive Recruiting @beinthekneaux Class of 27 WR Alex Fontenot- @AlexFontenot27 6-3/180 Alexandria, LA A tall, polished pass-catcher with excellent route discipline, strong hands, and big-play explosiveness, he exploded as a junior in 2025 and has rapidly climbed into the top tier of Louisiana’s 2027 WR class. Rated a high three-star (247Sports: 86 rating, WR #134–150 nationally, LA #34–41), he ranks among the top 40–50 prospects in-state across services and features on regional watchlists (Stars of the Boot, DandyDon, PrepRedzone CenLA). Fontenot pairs elite production with size and technique, drawing Power 4 offers and official visit momentum as one of CenLa’s premier perimeter threats. •  Route polish & technique: Disciplined releases, crisp cuts, and tempo control create easy throwing windows at all depths. •  Size + ball skills: Tall frame, strong hands, and body control excel in contested-catch and red-zone situations. •  Big-play threat: High yards-per-catch average and scoring ability (17 TDs in limited action) make him a constant vertical/score threat. •  Intangibles: 3.5 GPA, high work ethic/motor, active self-recruiter (@AlexFontenot27 on X with frequent updates), and coachable demeanor. Competitive in camps and 7-on-7 circuits. •  Upside: Still filling out frame but projects as a classic boundary WR with early college impact potential.
