Hey Arc users 👋
We hope you’ll try Brave. Brave is known for privacy and ad blocking but has many other features you’ll enjoy like:
- Vertical tabs
- Split view
- Containers (multiple accounts in the same window)
- Sidebar
Import your settings from Arc for an easy switch!
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.
Leo, the AI assistant in Brave, now offers end-to-end encrypted chat with GLM 5.3 Flash!
Your browser encrypts each prompt before it leaves your device, so only an attested Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) can decrypt it.
It's industry-leading privacy you can verify.

Take app, browser, and OS updates more seriously than ever. The economics of exploitation are changing fast.
Brave desktop build 1.94.121 includes the Chromium fix for CVE-2026-85046 [a V8 vulnerability for which Google confirms an exploit exists in the wild].
Now connect that with OpenAI’s latest results.
GPT-6 Astra scored 100% on ExploitBench.
This benchmark gives an AI agent a known V8 vulnerability, source code, debugging tools and the patch (but no reference PoC). It measures progress toward arbitrary code execution.
V8 is the engine involved in the browser bug above.
My takeaway: as exploit development gets easier, delaying security updates becomes harder to justify.
A published patch gives defenders a fix. It can also give attackers clues about how to exploit devices that haven’t updated.
If Brave says “Relaunch to update,” do it now.
⚠️ Today's browser update (v1.94.121) contains a fix for a Chromium vulnerability found to be exploited in the wild.
You may have received the automatic Brave update already. If not, you can manually update by visiting 'About Brave' from the browser's ☰ menu.
The Android update is waiting on Google Play Store review and should be out shortly.

@Brave grew to over 122M Monthly Active Users and 51M DAU in July 2026.
Brave Search joined Chrome's global default search engine list.
All browsers see a "summer slump," but our growth was stronger than past years, in part thanks to the World Cup driving new user growth.

Local AI agents protect your privacy by keeping inference and data processing on your own device
This privacy comes at a cost: higher battery usage. Agentic workflows use far more resources than typical LLM interactions, even on failed tasks.
To fix this, we built AgentStop.

To get the fix as soon as possible, manually update the browser’s ad blocker. Here’s how to do it on each platform 👇
Desktop: Go to Settings > Shields > Content filtering and click the “Update lists” button
iOS: Go to Settings > Shields & Privacy > Content Filtering and click the “Update Lists” button
Android: Go to Settings > Brave Shields & privacy > Content filtering and click the “UPDATE” button
After that, reload your YT tabs.
If you go to Brave://components on Android and desktop after updating, you should now see “Brave Default Adblock Filters” at Version 1.0.1989 or later and “Experimental ad blocker” at Version 1.0.84 or later.
Let me know if you’re still having issues!
