Hey @MatthewChang do we have an official Bible Study curriculum to go along with Risk Taking Is Biblical?
I’m thinking one chapter per week.
Would love to run one at my church.

HOW TO DESIGN A FACTORY
Lots of talk these days about bringing back manufacturing to America. In light of that trend I've decided to give you a how-to-guide on designing a factory

They thought the raids would break me.
Instead, it was the best thing that ever happened to me.
I went from chasing the highs, traveling nonstop, and working every second I was awake (and partying when I wasn’t)… to spending every day, every minute, and every second with my kids and my wife.
I became a better father and husband than I ever was.
I promised God in my darkness that I would lead a righteous life from that day on. Now I can feel Him.
I wouldn’t change a thing.
Now I understand life.
They tried to beat me. I got stronger.
I believe in always turning every negative into a positive, this was my best work yet.

Factotum tip:
Due to compression of long context, and despite their ability to selectively search your chat history, it’s a good idea to have your factotum periodically “remind” itself about standing preferences.

Skill stacking is biblical.
And here the skill stack is framed between work as worship, and work in the face adversity.
Because how we steward our talents is a form of worship—making the most of every opportunity God gives us.
And because honoring God with our talents produces excellent work—even in adversity, which itself is an opportunity to glorify God.
How it all looks in your life is the skill stack—the context where your talents show up.
Whatever that looks like for you right now, there’s purpose and opportunity.
Make the most of it!

"Build it in China because it's cheaper"
Go home 2020, you're drunk.
The USA is now at cost parity with China!
I break this down from the floor of the NYSE on Cheddar News.
Great talk with Arnold Davick about the explosion of high end factories in the country, effects of tariffs, and automation as the base case.

🇺🇸🦅
Cannot overstate how monumental this is for the current and future trajectory of the United States.
We are in a massive, massive manufacturing buildout today, not just Knowledge Centers (FKA AI Data Centers).

Alexander the Great made a habit of greeting his soldiers by name.
2,300 years later, it's still the most aggressive leadership move in medtech.
This is the natural consequence of a system that rewards forecast accuracy over relationship depth.
The further up the org chart you go, the more abstract the customer becomes.
The founders who build category-defining medtech companies run their leadership the opposite way.
They know the surgeons and which engineer caught the recall before it shipped.
They know which rep just had a hospital cancel a case last week.
Here's how biographer Mary Renault put it, in The Nature of Alexander:
"Without doubt, the love of the army was the breath of life to him; but never in his life did he try to get it cheap. It was not just a matter of being first into danger and last to take comforts when conditions were rough. Before a battle, he would greet men by name instead of making speeches. To have one's exploit remembered by him was in itself an award, though his material rewards were generous. He was constantly interested in the common soldier's predicaments, however remote from his own."
Greet men by name → know their exploit → know the predicament they sit with tonight.
That is the most aggressive form of leadership there is.

Update: within a week of the school doing this, they rescinded everything.
We won. Dad entering the school with the Florida Bill of Parental Rights was effective.
My wish for every parent in the country is that they have a bill of rights for their child / student.
My daughter (and all of our kids) learned a few lessons:
1) you can share your faith whenever you’re asked or respectfully in conversation.
2) dad is always coming in behind you when there is trouble.
Thank you Governor, @RonDeSantis, cc: @ChristinaPushaw
Dads, incredible story.
My 1st grade daughter got in trouble for witnessing to another child over her faith in Jesus. Yes, in Florida.
A group of 7 yo girls had been discussing (apparently for 2 months) deep questions like: where did the earth come from, who made it, and where did the universe come from?
My daughter shared her faith with clarity:
>God created the earth and everything in it.
>God created the universe.
>Heaven is real
>Angels are real
>Jesus died for our sins, and rose again to conquer death
>I believe this so strongly that I was baptized at church and told the church “Jesus Christ is my lord and savior” (see her baptism video an testimony)
Over the 2 month debate, another child countered with: yeah, but what about Hell. What about demons. What about the devil.
[side note: K Pop Demon Hunters is the most important film / sound track for girls in elementary school]
The other child was apparently trying to win the debate (over two months) by bringing up the negative side of spirituality.
My daughter mater of factly agreed: the devil is real, hell is real, and demons are real.
She sharpened her theology over this time by asking me the origin story of the devil during Christmas break. I told her the devil, Lucifer, was the angel of light and the most beautiful of all the angels. Then he led a rebellion against god and was cast down to earth with the other angels in the rebellion, losing his splendor and taking the role/form of ugly whispering serpent or dragon. We speculated that demons very well could be the cast out angels.
I’ll be honest I don’t study the devil or hell.
This week we get an email from the school. The matter has been referred to the principal, guidance counselor, etc.
The other child reported that my daughter told her she was going to Hell. My daughter doesn’t witness that way, she focuses on beauty and her beliefs and cites evidence.
“Why do I believe in God? Look at how beautiful the moon is at night. Watch and eagle feed its babies in the nest. When I cuddle my baby sister, I know”
In the video attached, her baby sister had just been born and she witnessed the miracle that is creation of life and birth of a new person.
Clearly she won the debate and the other child felt frustrated and told the teacher that she was terrified of my daughter’s teachings. If Heaven is real - what does that mean for me? It’s a tough reality to swallow.
So we got the “email” that every mom dreads (and dads pretend to care about) and were advised of the steps the school was taking to investigate.
We talked to our daughter and were left in awe of a few things:
>she loved another child so much that she would have the boldness to tell her the truth
>she NAILED IT with her Biblical accuracy
>she was kind and empathetic with others
>she did not back down in the face of a spirited debate about her core beliefs
So, today she’s getting a special ice cream treat so she doesn’t feel punished by the school. She did nothing wrong and her father has her back 100%.
My prayer for her every night is that she would: “love others, love Jesus, and lead many to the Lord”.
God heard our prayer and answered it with the Holy Spirit speaking through my daughter.
Fathers, remember: “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”.
You can’t control other people’s houses, but you can control yours.
My heart is so full 🙏
