When I went to Vancouver for the first time - I was telling someone if you squint and not look at the mountains and water it looks like Toronto - multicultural the accent and condos - they totally scoffed and were so offended - when novelty wore off of visiting a new city - the Toronto hate was so palpable- and for real - I never thought of Vancouver in my day to day
Hey @grok estimate the property value reduction to houses beside this

People in Vancouver hate Toronto so much - anything in Toronto ranked by them would be 25%-35% higher ranked if they ate it in Yaletown
Vancouver is #Canada’s overall best food scene.
Best sushi outside of Japan. Best Chinese food outside of China. Growing Italian and Mexican food scene and amazing Indian food. Best steakhouse in Canada. And the 4 bars in the top 50 in North America. Plus that PNW flare just hits different.
The number of Michelin recognized restaurants per 100,000 residents

It’s crazy to see how fast it happened- one decision to fly into the storm and after 30 seconds a catastrophe
“The most likely cause, based on the available tracking data, ATC audio, weather context, and the physics of the final trajectory, is this:
The Learjet 60 penetrated the core of a strong convective cell (tops reported near 47,000 ft while the aircraft was around 35,000 ft). Inside the cell it encountered a rapid updraft-to-downdraft transition that drove the nose down. The aircraft then accelerated past its Mach limits, entered Mach tuck (the aerodynamic nose-down force that becomes strong once a Learjet is overspeed at high altitude), and developed a steep spiral. Descent rates exceeded 30,000 ft/min and the final attitude was near-vertical. Recovery was not possible once that sequence was established.
Ice was reported by the crew and may have added workload or minor performance degradation, but at approximately –47 °C classic structural icing is improbable and is not required to explain the observed behavior. Claims of an isolated negative-G pushover specifically shearing the horizontal stabilizer are aerodynamically possible in severe turbulence but remain secondary and unconfirmed; the dominant, data-supported chain is cell penetration → upset → overspeed/Mach tuck → unrecoverable dive.
The critical decision was the failure to deviate around a cell that was visible on radar and associated with ground stops at FLL. Once inside the core, the margin for recovery disappeared within roughly 30 seconds.”
One of the amazing things about this situation- you can own a home in the bridlepath by doing furnished rentals
ICYMI: What Toronto police know about suspect in Bridle Path home invasion
cp24.com/local/toronto/2026/…
What the hell 🤦♀️
🚨BREAKING: Toronto Police identified DeJohn Richards in the violent home invasion that left a real estate CEO and two daughters shot — they interviewed him at the hospital, let him walk, and now he's on the run.
Police claim they must have reasonable probable grounds to hold a suspect—despite having a description of 3 black males in their early 20s.
Toronto Police's DEI policies drive this level of incompetence.
Includes Bathurst and Lawrence - the area has over 15k Jewish Torontonians - they’re very active politically vs the next largest (Filipinos) generally not so active politically
Omg 🤦♀️
New 30 km/h area speed limit signs will be posted at neighbourhood entry and exit points. Once you enter a signed area, the 30 km/h speed limit applies throughout the local road network until you leave that area.
Slower speeds help reduce the risk of serious collisions and make neighbourhood streets safer.

The fact that people, especially @MayorOliviaChow supporters, don’t see it’s worse compared to 10 years ago is reason why @BradMBradford will win - and who could really trust him
