This is how dark it is as I’m dropping my kids off for high school at 7:05am, school starts at 7:15am. Basically still dark in October. Next week, after daylight savings time switch, it will be light when they start school. Without daylight savings time, darkness would be even worse the next four months. And of course, many kids are standing at bus stops in this. Just something to think about for those of you who think we don’t need to switch time to keep morning daylight at least somewhat stable for work and school traffic schedules.

Now THIS is the Nick Wright i grew to respect. I hope he maintains this trajectory.
Angel Reese and the ATL Dream not being covered is a choice by the media.
Shout out to @getnickwright! He just gave Angel Reese a fantastic spotlight on @FTFonFS1 in a segment calling out the media. It’s my fave sports show because it’s very funny, so I was delighted to see this pop up today! #WNBAFinals
Sleep deprived Kornacki is the best Kornacki.
Very excited we can announce this: NBC will be live for **13 hours** on Election Night/overnight, starting at 5pm.
And....concurrent with this...I am going to be doing the livestream!! That will go up at 5:30 and I'll stay on all night with results, results, results.
This is only happening because so many of you tuned in and helped us spread the word this primary season. Can't thank you all enough for that. I really hope you'll join us for what is going to be an epic, all-night experience - and again help us spread the word far and wide! Can't wait for 11/3!

Today I turn 88…I’ve seen some serious shit. The most serious of it all is love. I love my family, my friends, and my wonderful fans. The power of love remains.

Pleased to welcome my longtime friend and former legislative colleague, @jamestalarico, to Houston. I look forward to collaborating with him as U.S. Senator, as we did in the Texas Legislature.
Baseball fans: a modern day Fritz Peterson, Mike Kekich story… Sort of.
Last month, former ‘Good Morning America’ hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes got married. Now their ex-spouses are engaged to each other. thecut.com/article/andrew-sh…

Chris Christie should run for president again. Not because he'd be a good president, or even because he'd have a chance at winning. I just want to see him direct this energy at JD Vance.

Texas was built by hope. By people who had no business believing — but believed anyway.
To every Texan who’s ever wondered if anyone in power is paying attention: We are taking our state back.
Because a little bit of hope is a dangerous thing.

“Atop the Mountain for the very first time, because he has earned it and he deserves this moment… Brock Purdy, take your spot, at least for the week.”
@getnickwright stunned EVERYONE with Mahomes Mountain going into Week 7 🏔️👀

This is one heck of an absolutely disgusting ad. Just an incredibly scummy thing to do.
If I was considering voting for Vivek, this would instantly end that for me.
Using her (alleged) pedophile protecting mother to hit her? Beyond gross. He is such scum.
Last week, I wrote about how the notorious conman Vivek Ramaswamy had co-opted Dr. Amy Acton's estranged mother for his "October surprise."
Here's the ad in full. Nasty stuff from Ms. Arthur.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Acton's mother lost custody of her children after years of documented issues, including time spent living in a tent and a spouse who sexually abused her daughter Amy (Acton). Amy Acton's brother has also confirmed this story.

Voting for myself yesterday was an unreal feeling, but this is bigger than me. It’s about representing our people. If you haven’t voted yet, make a plan, bring a friend or family member, and get out there and vote!

Harris County has broken the record for first-day early voting turnout in a midterm election!
As of 3:30 p.m., 70K+ voters have been processed, surpassing the previous record of 63,188 set in 2018, with 3.5 hours remaining.
CONGRATULATIONS, HARRIS COUNTY! #HarrisVotes
All indications this morning are that Texans are shattering records for early voting, and that users on this site are shattering records for improperly extrapolating trends to try to predict results from a half a day of early voting.
The only two times this century the Chargers started 0-6:
2026: coach Jim Harbaugh
2000: quarterback Jim Harbaugh
Prediction: the Texans will beat the Giants next week, which will drop the Giants to 500. After that, no NFC east team will have a record above .500 the remainder of the season, and the eventual division winner will not have a winning record.
