Now THIS is the Nick Wright i grew to respect. I hope he maintains this trajectory. Angel Reese and the ATL Dream not being covered is a choice by the media.
Shout out to @getnickwright! He just gave Angel Reese a fantastic spotlight on @FTFonFS1 in a segment calling out the media. It’s my fave sports show because it’s very funny, so I was delighted to see this pop up today! #WNBAFinals

Today I turn 88…I’ve seen some serious shit. The most serious of it all is love. I love my family, my friends, and my wonderful fans. The power of love remains.

Chris Christie should run for president again. Not because he'd be a good president, or even because he'd have a chance at winning. I just want to see him direct this energy at JD Vance.

Texas was built by hope. By people who had no business believing — but believed anyway. To every Texan who’s ever wondered if anyone in power is paying attention: We are taking our state back. Because a little bit of hope is a dangerous thing.

This is one heck of an absolutely disgusting ad. Just an incredibly scummy thing to do. If I was considering voting for Vivek, this would instantly end that for me. Using her (alleged) pedophile protecting mother to hit her? Beyond gross. He is such scum.
Last week, I wrote about how the notorious conman Vivek Ramaswamy had co-opted Dr. Amy Acton's estranged mother for his "October surprise." Here's the ad in full. Nasty stuff from Ms. Arthur.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Acton's mother lost custody of her children after years of documented issues, including time spent living in a tent and a spouse who sexually abused her daughter Amy (Acton). Amy Acton's brother has also confirmed this story. x.com/amyactonoh/sta… wkbn.com/news/local-new… time.com/collections/co… vindyarchives.com/news/2019/aug/… 614now.com/2020/culture/c… actonforgovernor.com/meet-amy/

Voting for myself yesterday was an unreal feeling, but this is bigger than me. It’s about representing our people. If you haven’t voted yet, make a plan, bring a friend or family member, and get out there and vote! #teamyou

“This is amazing: Heckler: “I voted for Biden. I like you, but I can't vote for you. The problem is, his book says something different than my book.” The crowd booed. Security started to approach the man. But Abdul El Sayed stopped him. Abdul El Sayed: “Let him stay. Let him stay." The guards backed off. He paused. "Sir, I'm grateful that you're here." He paused, and said, "I’m just gonna tell you this.” El Sayed: “The book that matters for all of us is the U.S. Constitution.” The crowd erupted in applause. The heckler uncrossed his arms. He actually applauded along with the crowd. He nodded and pointed at El Sayed. El Sayed: “I want to say thank you, my friend. I just want to tell you, when it comes right down to it, at the end of the day, I’m gonna swear an oath to that U.S. Constitution. Because of the U.S. Constitution, you have the right to live according to your own book.” Crowd shouted, "Yeah." El Sayed: “And also, because of the U.S. Constitution, you don’t get to enforce that law on anyone else.” The crowd cheered for 14 straight seconds. The heckler stood there, absorbing it all. He sat down. That is how you bring Michigan – and all Americans – together.”

A lot of people rly have no idea how the Texas legislature works. As a Democrat, in order to get anything done, you have to let the Republicans take lead. Learn about companion bills and compare his bill to Kolhorsts. It’s the same damn language. Hers passed bc she’s Republican!
FACT CHECK: James Talarico says he "brought democrats and Republicans together to cap insulin co-pays at $25." Here is what actually happened. The law that capped insulin at $25 is SB 827 (2021). It was written by a Republican, state Sen. Lois Kolkhorst of Brenham. Talarico's own bill, HB 40, would have capped insulin at $50. It died in committee. The $25 figure? Kolkhorst credits Rep. Eddie Lucio III with working with her to bring her bill down from $50 to $25. Not Talarico. Kolkhorst started on the bill after President Trump's 2020 executive order opened the door to $35 insulin in some Medicare plans. When Talarico ran ads claiming he "capped insulin at $25," Kolkhorst said it plainly: he did not author the bill that passed. He advocated for the cap. He signed on to it. He did not write the law, and he did not set the $25. Verdict: The cap is real. The credit belongs to someone else.
