And Labor didn't lie about their immigration no's? Also she is not in government - politicians are generally allowed to change policy before an election without being considered to be lying.

The ANU says that only 12% of the permanent stream is actually skilled.

Don't be ridiculous. Labor accepts many times that amount from big business and unions - who expect something in return.

Random social media posts aren't much to go by - cherry picked no doubt to suit your world - view. How about looking at polls which show a large proportion of 1st generation migrants think immigration has been too high. Hard to call that being racist and xenophobic.

The tax breaks only work if prices rise - so it relies on immigration pushing up demand. Also you have left out rents - which are closely correlated with immigration. The tax breaks actually boost the rental supply.

It's not some act of God - this 'constant flow of immigrants'. It could be changed with the stroke of a pen.

With shrinking families and constant flow of immigrants, why wouldn't 3 bdr townhouses be sufficient?

Because we belatedly took steps to shore up our sovereignty after their bribery and influence operations, cyber attacks, regular insults and threats. And also, not unreasonably calling for an independent inquiry into covid and its origins.

Paying more just to get by doesn't make you better off. As long as the quality of goods is the same absolutely you are better off paying less.

Wouldn't that apply to immigration and the housing crisis?

So, it looks like no. Each migrant (and immigration is driving this), creates an infrastructure deficit of around $120,000. Even on the dubious assumption they all get jobs it is mainly up to the existing population to pay for it.
