Holy mainnet. Ritual Chain is live. Let the Ritual begin.
When I left Chainlink back in 2024, everyone thought I was crazy. The world was changing, and I wanted to be at the center of it. CHat GPT 3.5 had just come out and I was, but I was determined to help build at the convergence of blockchain and AI.
And that was when I found @ritualfnd. The team at Ritual saw something early that most people are only starting to see now: markets and companies won't run on humans alone, and agents will become economic actors in their own right, holding their own wallets and working alongside us.
I wanted to build the community for that future from the ground up. I still remember our first die-hard members in Discord, back when we had no roles, no events, and not much to offer besides a big idea and an alarming amount of enthusiasm from me.
Watching our weird crazy group grow organically is what convinced me this project had legs. There were a lot of sleepless nights along the way. I'd do every one of them again, though I wouldn't mind getting a few back.
Thank you to @niraj and @akileshpotti for the grand vision behind this technology. Thank you to the team at Ritual Foundation, especially @BunsDev, @0x_HalfMoonKid and @BenPerszyk for working alongside me day in and day out to build something that will last.
Thank you to my favorite community managers @mongdiny7 and @hilalelifkara . Iβm so grateful to build this global community with you. A very special shout-out to all the Ritual Discord moderators @cryptooflashh @dunken9718 @0xMadScientist and @Jez_Cryptoz . You guys are legends and Iβm so happy to be working with you. I am not worthy. I could never have done this without you.
Thank you to my very special event managers. And thank you to everyone who joined our Discord when it was just a glorified group chat and a couple of weirdos saying gRitual. You were here first, and today belongs to you too.
We're just getting started. Mainnet is the beginning, and I'm so stoked for what comes next.

I absolutely loved reading this...
dealing with the part most AI x crypto narratives skip; failure handling
In production, AI is not a clean synchronous function call means responses can be late, malformed, fail mid-job, or come back through the wrong path
The model @ritualnet's callback forces the contract to account for that explicitly
in terms of timing, sender verification, execution success or output parsing
much more mature design philosophy I'd say
The real infrastructure edge is surely making AI callable and making AI failure legible, bounded & safe enough for contracts to rely on π

Four questions every Ritual callback should ask. π§΅
When your contract asks an AI model or a service for something, the answer comes back later. At Office Hours we drew the whole lesson as one picture: every answer, or non-answer, takes the same walk. Here it is.

We have seen such an immense swell of demand that we have to temporarily pause signups for Jev. We need to ensure quality of service for our existing signups, which will continue to function. We are working diligently to ensure open access to Jev for everyone as soon as we can. Thank you.

After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
Iβve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
β’ 20-200x faster
β’ 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
β’ Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

Happy new week
100x opportunities in crypto x AI world is inevitable as Ritual is booming
Ritual's HTTP and JQ precompiles gave the contract access to information outside the chain
The LLM layer gave that information context
So now we have see and think
But we know an agent that only sees and thinks is still basically an assistant
The real quest is to know
Can a Contract Act?
Most AI apps stop at thinking and give you an answer
and wait for a human to do something with it
But what if the contract can take the next step itself?
For example:
SEE
HTTP pulls market data
β
UNDERSTAND
JQ extracts what matters
β
THINK
LLM interprets the conditions
β
ACT
Contract changes state, triggers logic or schedules what should happen next
No cron job waking the app up and no AI recommendation awaits for someone to take action
That's where @ritualnet's native scheduling becomes interesting
This means a contract can register future or recurring execution instead of depending on an external keeper to wake it up
much more important shift as the loop is
observe β reason β execute β observe again
more like an autonomous onchain system.
So the experiment evolves again:
Ritual Market Eye could SEE
β
Ritual Market Brain could THINK
β
Now:
Ritual Market Agent can respond to what it sees
The point is to prove the loop:
see, think, act and repeat
Because seeing makes a contract informed
Thinking makes it intelligent
But the ability to take the next step without waiting for us?
That's where autonomy starts β
GM CT π
Happy Thursday
Yesterday, explored a simple idea revolving around whether a smart contract see beyond the blockchain?
Contracts understand onchain data like balances and transactions, but live information such as solana's current price comes from the outside world
Ritual Market Eye was built around bridging that gap
Let's just reflect on whether a contract think?
not saying a smart contract suddenly becoming conscious
talking about something much simpler,
whether a contract can take information, give that information to a model, and use the model's interpretation inside an onchain application?
This is where another Ritual primitive becomes interesting
LLM Precompile β 0x0802
the application can call an LLM through Ritual's execution environment rather than sending the data to some private AI invisible backend
consider Ritual Market Eye again.
First the contract sees:
SOL: $__ 24h: +4.2% Volume: rising Volatility: high
Then we give that information to the model and ask:
Based only on this data, what type of market environment are we looking at?
The model could return something structured:
Market state as Bullish and high risk
informing price and volume are increasing while volatility remains elevated
Notice that yesterday our flow was:
Internet
β
HTTP
β
JQ
β
Data
Now we add another step:
Internet
β
SEE β HTTP
β
EXTRACT β JQ
β
THINK β LLM
β
βοΈ USE THE RESULT ONCHAIN
I find much more interesting saying:
βRitual has an LLM precompileβ
Because we're starting to see what the primitive actually enables
The contract receives context
and asked a model to interpret that context
There is real research behind why this matters too
Recent reasoning-model research, including work published in Nature around DeepSeek-R1, has explored things like self-reflection, verification and adapting reasoning strategies
But research also keeps reminding us that LLM reasoning has limitations
so our goal is to make the reasoning step visible, programmable and part of the application's execution instead of hiding it inside a Web2 server
Crypto builders are already moving in this direction too
.@ritualfnd has been talking about LLM calls, agents, scheduled compute and payments as pieces of the same builder stack
and Ritual community builders are already experimenting with contracts that can effectively:
see β think β act.
So Ritual Market Eye becomes Ritual Market Brain
Ritual Market Eye collects the market information.
Then Ritual Market Brain interprets it.
The simple experiment demonstrates something much bigger
A contract can collect information from outside the blockchain and pass that information into a reasoning model.
So we gave the contract eyes
Today we give it a reasoning layer
And once a contract can:
SEE β THINK
now the next question will be
Can a Contract Act?
Because seeing the world is useful and understanding the world is better
But autonomy really begins when software can decide what to do next. Do y'all agree? β

This is why weβre building a substrate and not just another harness. Our substrate enables you to bring together agents from different harnesses, allowing them to coordinate their work and benefit from the flexibility to switch harnesses without losing their identity or memory π
I receive around 3-5 requests to test a new AI product daily. Almost all of them require creating a new account and logging into a separate website or app.
Meanwhile, I basically only use ChatGPT, Grok, etc to do everything on my computer and browser.
These harnesses already have all my context and I don't want to start over from scratch with a new website or tool that only understands a small slice of my data.
So with a few exceptions, the new products that I'm mostly likely to adopt need to work in today's top AI harnesses.
I realize only a small segment of users behave this way but I bet this segment will expand drastically soon.
