It was awesome to learn that Matt, who’s here to fix bikes for free with @B4HPDX, was once a resident of Blanchet House’s transitional shelter program. He learned to do bike repair from Chain Reaction a @CCCPortland program. Thanks for helping others, Matt!

Grateful for the opportunity to volunteer with and learn from the awesome people at #CentralCityConcern in Portland this morning! Their mission to treat the whole person as a person, extends beyond the over 13,000 homeless Oregonians the aim to serve every day. They foster a healthy and supportive community for their employees, who have their own recovery stories, by helping them stay clean and live their lives with purpose. Thank you to Josh for letting me ride along, clean up trash with him, and for sharing his journey with me today. #orpol @CCCPortland

New paper alert. Q: can intensive primary care using “ambulatory ICUs” can impact 6-month hospitalizations in an urban healthcare for homeless setting. Partnered research with @CCCPortland and @OHSUNews
Ambulatory intensive care units can have a positive effect on the health and well-being of complex patients, although longer time horizons may be required to reduce hospitalizations and emergency department visits. ja.ma/476Mn8F
