It's kind of incredible how being a hiring manager is the one job where it's normalized to not actually do your bloody job.
This is such a bleak story about what it's like to try to land a job right now. nytimes.com/interactive/2026…

There seems to be this pervasive idea in atheist and low level prot circles that by “needing God for morality” means “needing to admit belief in God to be moral” which is obviously wrong. The claim is not personal, but metaphysical- that we need God as an explanation for moral experience and transcendent order.

You can tell people like this have never read history because prior to Christianity the general through-line on all ancient culture's morality is "It's good to kill your enemies and then rape their wives and enslave their children because we hate them and we're stronger"
oh no. Sorry. You're right. Christianity invented morality. before christianity people were just doing Whatever. Killing everyone and everything. Never doing anything for anyone other than themselves. That's how the world worked before christianity

The Weasleys are such a gigachad family. Arthur Weasley writes laws to enable his hobbies and smashes a thicc redhead so much he got seven kids who ended up being Quidditch captains, prefects, head boys, Gringotts curse breakers, married to the most famous Dark Wizard Catcher in history, a super hot French veela, dragon tamers, most successful joke shop owners
Ron and Hermione had zero chemistry. They spent seven books bickering, insulting each other, getting jealous, and making each other miserable, and we’re supposed to believe that was the greatest love story ever? Their relationship felt more like two people who cared about each other but had no idea how to communicate. The books gave us arguments and jealousy, then suddenly expected us to accept them as endgame. Being opposites doesn’t automatically mean two people are compatible. Sometimes, it just means they annoy each other. So tell me, what exactly made Ron and Hermione a good couple beyond the fact that they ended up together?

"38383 different topics" more like 3 at most Also the Japanese's response seems to work given how upset it makes you guys, lol.
Im reading all the Japan VS France thing.....and is there any reason why Japanese ppl are completely unable of rage baiting? Like French people are making extremely out of hand jokes with 38383 different topics and Japanese ppl are responding with "but you're an immigrant" like?

"non-binary" has an actual specific modern context rather than just "doesn't have a human gender" so this is once again progressives pretending not to know things.
.@jordanklepper finds out that Texans have more in common with James Talarico than they'd like to admit. Jordan's new special, Red Flags, premieres tonight after The Daily Show at 11:30pm ET on Comedy Central

Carney is the face of late-stage liberal globalism. None of the actions he has received such monumental praise for have proven substantial. The only thing he has succeeded at is allowing the liberal establishment at home and abroad to maintain their prestige a little longer.

This thing where liberals have uncontrollable audible outbursts whenever they hear something they disagree with really needs to be studied. What in the world is going on there? I’m being totally serious. I’m not trying to make fun of anybody here or just saying something snarky. It’s very strange the way they audibly gasp whenever they hear something with which they disagree. I’ve never once heard a conservative do this. Go watch an Ann Colter video from 20 years ago where she speaks to a liberal college audience. They literally cannot sit still and listen to somebody say something with which they disagree. Nervous laughter, audible moans and groans, literal gasps. And every other speaker who goes up to the mic feels compelled to ask her, “do you really believe what you’re saying? I mean, is this a bit or do you really believe it?” Again, I’m not trying to be funny or snarky here. It’s very weird how just one political faction does this.

Yup. I saw it in New England; when Billy Evans said retorted to Seyfriend that yes, he did like Kirk, the audience gasped, some people laughed incredulously, etc. It was THE BIGGEST REACTION the *entire* film got

For some reason the dude making this video starts going into a diatribe about Japanese people's attitudes towards piracy despite that having nothing to do with the "roasting" happening online.

Me with the NES Kid Icarus. Not terrible but damn did old-school gamers glaze that game hard.
How it feels to finally play that game you were only able to watch videos of as a kid

Prequel stans doing the "you need a very high IQ to like Rick and Morty" bit, except unironically, lol
The Star Wars Prequels are hated by the midwits, because there's nothing in them for the midwits. If you're smart the politics make sense and the psychosexual story about awkward issolated prodigies persecuted by their civilization for bizzare hidden reasons is engaging/relatable If you're dumb the action is really fun. If you're a midwit you feel dirty like you see how a stupid person could like it, but feel stupid you can't follow the politics, and feel really threatened by the lack of moral clarity and psychosexual elements.

There's this really dumb new polemic from internet atheists where they say that Jesus was "racist" due to calling the Canaanite woman a dog. Atheists so mind-warped by progressive politics that they're accusing 2000 year old figures of imaginary racism.

Pray for Sprocket's father and family
We've put my dad on home hospice care, he's been eating slower and less over the last month and a half and that visit to the hospital last Monday to drain the fluid from his lungs took a lot out of him I don't know how much longer he has: I'm just gonna pray for him
