There a fundamental misunderstanding on the election of far right Cllrs. Maybe its a self-soothing? "These far right ones will be in for a land when they realise how little they can actually achieve of their agenda😂". Completely wide of the mark. They're not in it to help people

As a non-AI user, a disturbing pattern is emerging among AI-using friends. They argue with everything, including personal opinions & facts I know by heart. I cite official sources, & they present walls of disjointed AI text as “proof.” You can’t argue, because AI is the ultimate authority. It is always right. Attempting to discuss current events is a nightmare, as it seems to take time for the AI to update. You end up ceding the argument because it’s easier than arguing with an AI human proxy. If you are somehow able to convince them the AI is wrong, the entire cycle repeats with the next topic. I hate all of this so much.

So the 41 datacenter moratoria across the country are, I predict, going to go 41-0. In nearly every case it's about 67-80% opposing datacenters. True in California, Ohio, everywhere. Read all the results here:

Trump is over. MAGA is over. Apparently people don’t care about culture wars when they can’t afford fuel.

It certainly looks that way.
After 10 years of foot dragging Govt looks set to make a mess of short-term letting regs.

Out today - 1pm UK; Is capitalism destroying democracy — and why can’t we seem to stop it?
As billionaire wealth soars to record highs and public trust in capitalism collapses, the ultra-rich are turning unprecedented fortunes into political power. As more countries slide toward authoritarianism, are we witnessing a crisis of democracy—or the inevitable consequences of a system designed to concentrate wealth and power?
This week on The Tea, we’re joined by one of the world's top political economists, Jason Hickel, author of the acclaimed best-selling book Less Is More: How Degrowth Will Save the World. His work challenges the logic of endless economic growth and asks what it would take to build an economy that serves people and the planet, rather than the ultra-rich.

A good day for Ireland, where we seem to be emerging from the Cumbya approach to foreign policy we have long adopted, to begin facing the realities of a disordered world.

Incredible gaslighting by Fianna Fáil regarding the Triple Lock.
