Throwing a football is important to do for many reasons. First it is FUN! For one its a good warm up for the body. Creates full body use, helping endurance and strengthening your shoulder/arm. It helps shorten your arm path. Create a routine for yourself using the football it does wonders.

I’ve seen a LOT more footballs pop up around these money grab tournaments and showcased whatever’s
And I have a hard time believing this man isn’t a large reason why.
I’ve seen a lot of success in throwing the football for building up the shoulder with an overload element
as well as helping guys with a supination bias develop consistency for breaking pitches.
However, if you tend to have more of a pronator based arsenal you might want to opt for something that resembles a bit more of a baseball.
This is where weighted baseballs and softballs can become super useful for adding in a non-plyo overload element to the start of a throwing progression.
Give it a go.
Ditch the plyos and be an athlete.
It’s just fun!
