🌱 Checking In Matters: Go Beyond "How Are You?" When we ask someone how they are, the automatic response is often a quick, thoughtless "I'm fine," even if it's not entirely true. Checking in on someone's mental well-being is crucial, especially within our resilient farming community. 🌾 💬 Try these alternative questions to encourage more open and honest conversations: 1. You seem a bit [down/overwhelmed/withdrawn] today. Is everything okay? 2. I've noticed you've been [quiet/reflective/distant] lately. Would you like to talk about it? 3. How have you been feeling lately? I'm here to listen, really listen. 4. I care about you. Is there something on your mind? Remember, it may take time for someone to open up, and that's okay. The important thing is to offer a supportive and non-judgmental space, allowing them to share at their own pace. ❤️ 👁‍🗨 Tips for Checking In: -Be patient and give them time to respond. -Offer a listening ear without trying to 'fix' the problem. -Respect their privacy and confidentiality. -Encourage professional help if needed. 🌐 For more tips on supporting each other's mental wellbeing, visit domore.ag/wellness-tips How do you check in on your loved ones?
