This might be the best rookie season highlight reel EVER!
Rookie Vince Carter was scary good and set the league on fire in 1998🔥
Note: He did all this in a shortened lockout year!

Live DHO Progression
🔘 1 v 1 - Defense splits the cones and offense goes over the top
🔘 1 v 2 - slide the bottom cone to the side so the defender has to cover more distance. Help side starts on backside block and can leave when the DHO happens
🔘 2 v 2

3 Keys
1. Shoulder Past Midline
2. Change of speed

A lot of trainers teach the Killer Crossover but Few do it with this level of detail. BIG TIME 👏

1x1 Tagging
👨🏻🏫 Teaching:
- Footwork on the catch
- Push dribble with outside hand
Def must touch floor and then tag off player before score
Poss. constraint: max 2 dribbles to score
🔑 high number of reps
🔑 direct feedback drill (slower when using inside hand dribble)

Tried a fun new game to start practice.
We call it "Protect your friend" tag. Good ball handling for all 3 players.
1st saw this on @coachmoorej page. Thanks for sharing!

1 on 1 Progression
Both players have to go around the same side of the cone.
1 v 1 - O must make contact before finishing
1 v 2 - Control your space before attacking help-side or getting to a floater
2 v 2 - Control your space & read the help-side. Pass or finish.

Our focus is much more on how to play the game than teaching individual moves.
Here’s an example of a simple spacing and decision making 2v2 from our Youth Summer Skills Academy. @RealworkB

I LOVE this "no paint" drill shared by @coachdgates to emphasize paint touches on O & D!
Great to practice keeping teams out of the paint on Defense and equally effective to get players downhill attacking the paint on offense!

We call this drill “No Paint”. We are working on keeping the ball out of the paint by either the dribble or pass. We do this drill with three teams of 4. You can score the game by paint touches to get a winner or loser & make it competitive. #MIZ #WhiteboardWednesday

[📹🏀] Ejercicio de Close Out "corto".
En el momento que el entrenador bota el balón, se activan ataque y defensa.
➡️Lectura para tiro o atacar.
➡️ Si atacante anota, sigue el mismo defensor.
➡️ Opción siempre de rebote ofensivo.

1v1 Contested 3pt Shooting:
X1 starts by walking towards the foul line, and triggers the contest when they explode to touch either side of the half circle, O1 then reacts & sprints opposite to get their shot away, X1 turns & contests.
