So do you have to be a landlord to join Fíanna Fáil or do they just give you one or two when you join?
He "forgot" to register his rental property... For 3 years... It's getting funny now, to be fair.
Exc: Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly admits he failed to register rental property in Dublin on time with the RTB, and only did so late last week after Robert Troy revelations. Spokesman blamed "oversight" on failure to register since 2019

There is a total of 183,312 thousand vacant properties in Ireland. We rank 10th globally for the highest proportion of vacant homes. Yet we have an estimated 8-10,000 people homeless.
This is not an accident, this is a policy choice.

We all regularly experience vacancy & dereliction
Many of us every time we leave our home
We all know #DerelictIreland is not healthy for us, society or planet
Yet sadly those with the power to change things just don't bother
Resulting in many, many people suffering unnecessarily
We’ll never have liveable environment until we really tackle #vacancy and #dereliction. What we want is for people to move back into urban environment and particularly we want families to move in- @frank_oconnor says on tonight's #EcoEye

Did you know that each local authority is required to have a dedicated vacant homes officer? But there are only 3 hired full time in the country despite every council receiving €50k per year to pay for staff in the role.

After burning coal & oil, cement manufacturing is the most carbon intensive activity on earth. But we'll build housing estates in the middle of nowhere rather than rebuild/reuse crumbling homes and buildings in our towns and cities
