We love being stuck on those working class buses in traffic displaced from richer areas. Nothing in this case to do with riding a bike but all to do with the disproportionate influence of UMC lobbyists from the LCC who do not care about of negative impacts on others.

LTNs move traffic to the already busy roads. And with it air pollution.

This the rank injustice of LTNs. This is why we fight them.
Green lanes gridlocked ….the more roads closed the more people suffer …. @haringeycouncil called closing roads a success. It’s complete gridlock again. One roadwork away from road network breakdown. The cycling lobby groups supported harming elderly people like my parents so they can hear bird song in there quiet road …

This is gold dust! It reveals LTNs in Lambeth, the London borough that is covered with them, don't even work in their own terms and that neighbouring Wandsworth, which removed its 7 Covid LTNs, has less congestion, emissions & road casualties. youtube.com/watch?v=kjRBMMce…

A hugely important court ruling. Court finds that all 6 of Croydon's LTNs are illegal because they were justified on the amount of money they would raise.

This is very good news indeed. Tower Hamlets are going to the Supreme Court to seek to get the verdict overturned that it was illegal to remove its LTNs.

For SEVEN years, Hammersmith Bridge has been TARGETED by professional criminals. Children have been told to go in groups. Women are scared to cross at night @saragezdari on why the bridge must be REOPENED.

Whatever your opinion is on LTNs, this should be condemned by everyone. @TfL knew the evidence showed car use wasn’t being cut, and instead of coming clean, they buried it. That’s not policy- it’s propaganda. It’s deceit of the public on an industrial scale. And guess what? Those who questioned @RachelAldred’s findings were mocked & vilified. Londoners deserve honesty, not social-engineering experiments cooked up behind closed doors.
A HUGE EXCLUSIVE from the Times, just put up on its website. TfL suppressed a report which showed LTNs don't cut car use. The Times has seen emails between TfL and Rachel Aldred's unit at Westminster University which did the study expressing concern about its results.

Just to be clear, your driving habit is heavily subsidised. More so for the 46% of London households and the 22% of UK households that don’t own a car. For every mile driven, taxpayers subsidise 21p outside London, up to £1 inside. Raise Fuel Duty theguardian.com/commentisfre…

"We have to rein in meddling councils" thecritic.co.uk/we-have-to-r… A good article, prompted by the imposition of LTNs. "It’s clear the current system isn’t robust enough to protect us from overbearing councils. Do local citizens need a charter of rights?"

Just pathetic that the Council has let a lunatic destroy Wandsworth Bridge Rd, many of its traders and the bus services. REMOVE the eyesores dumped in the road, and RESTORE the cycle markings to restore the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers, and the bus journey times
