Protecting freedom of speech is an essential feature of our republican form of government. Fair standards of speech must be made clear in state law, or risk handing over control to those who will continually move the boundaries of what is, and what is not, allowed to be said.

If we are serious about fixing the teacher pipeline, we need to ask why anyone that isn't far-left would subject themselves to the ideological hellhole that is university Schools of Education.
Great report. Education schools must be dismantled entirely to restore education’s true purpose. There is no viable path to internal reform; these institutions are built on premises antithetical to truth-seeking and intellectual rigor. Even the university leaders themselves know it!! Harvard President Lowell famously described his own school of education as “a kitten that ought to be drowned.”

Texans made it clear that they are rightfully concerned about the implementation of the 765-kV lines. @TPPF supports @LtGovTX and @DrSchwertner calls to ensure the Legislature has a chance to provide clear direction on how best to address this issue.
Over the last several years, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the Public Utility Commission (PUC) have studied the current and future power needs of Texas. Huge (new to Texas) 765-kV transmission lines to increase power around the state are a part of their plan.    Unfortunately, neither the PUC nor ERCOT have followed through with a plan that is supported by the vast majority of Texas landowners. The PUC and ERCOT both acknowledged as much during an over 15- hour Senate Business and Commerce Committee hearing on Wednesday.    Hour after hour, witness after witness testified they did not have adequate notice and have no idea where the lines are going because of constant route changes. They also accused ERCOT, the PUC, and the transmission companies of rushing through the process that could significantly affect the use of their land. It’s clear the overwhelming number of witnesses in rural Texas are not supportive of the current process. They want it paused. Some want it stopped entirely.    Everyone agrees Texas needs the transmission necessary to meet the growing needs of the state. However, support for ERCOT’s 765-kV transmission plan should not come at the expense of private property rights.   I agree with Chairman Schwertner in calling on the PUC to deny the pending applications for 765-kV transmission lines, and not consider re-applications, until the transmission companies can address the serious concerns raised by landowners at Wednesday’s hearing.    The testimony made it abundantly clear the current process being utilized by the PUC for proposing and approving transmission lines is broken and must be reformed. If these lines are going to be built, which many believe must be built, then the PUC’s transmission approval process must not only prioritize strengthening the grid, but also protect Texas landowners and communities. During the 90th Legislative Session beginning in January 2027, the Texas Senate will prioritize addressing this issue. Below is a statement released today by Senate Business and Commerce Committee Chairman Charles Schwerterner, who oversees this issue.

Texas' SB 37 restores accountability in higher education and ensures that individual professors cannot redesign curriculum to push ideology on the taxpayer's dime. It is a great first step to fixing the credibility crisis of higher education. texaspolicy.com/the-chronicl…

America was on full display this weekend. Peace deals were announced via social media by the president, Team USA dominated Paraguay in soccer, and the UFC hosted on the White House lawn. American patriotism is engulfing the world.

90% of immigrants pass the U.S. Citizenship Test on their first try. Only 23% of native-born Texans under 45 can do the same. Civics education in the U.S. is in a state of crisis and is in dire need to be restored.

Mississippi has done the impossible and fixed its literacy crisis, improving its national education ranking from 49th to 9th with educational reforms. Now, it's Texas' turn to implement similar reforms, such as a third-grade retention for literacy-struggling students.

SNAP benefits fraud is not new. But the repercussions are adding up because of repetitive abuse to the system. Now, Texas taxpayers could be on the hook for paying $709 MILLION in penalties if Texas does not reduce its current error rate of 9%.

Texas has a right and responsibility to protect its institutions from hostile foreign influence. TPPF's new Defeating Islamist Radicalization initiative lays out a bold plan to do exactly that. “Texas should aggressively identify and combat organized efforts to undermine our laws, radicalize vulnerable populations, or import foreign ideological conflicts into Texas communities.” - @Mariah_Selene Read more here 👇 texaspolicy.com/press/tppf-l…

Students are successfully ChatGPTing their way through college, exposing a flawed higher education system based on "credentialism". Now it’s up to universities to restore the value of a degree by returning to a genuine liberal education.

It's sad, but a 4th grader would likely struggle to read this post. What exactly has caused a majority of America’s children to struggle with illiteracy? It's likely a product of noise from a constantly changing, algorithmically saturated, technologically mediated environment.
