The Canons were present at the Illinois Boxing Hall of Fame banquet where our very own Fr. Al Tremari was inducted on Saturday, October 24th.
Fr. Al was one of the highest profile boxing judges in the world during his career, judging scores of fights around the world during the 70’s-90’s, including many world championship bouts.

As we approach All Souls’ Day, the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius invite you to join our All Souls Novena, beginning October 24.
Through nine days of prayer and daily reflections, we will explore the Catholic understanding of death, pray for the faithful departed, and reflect on how the hope of eternal life can shape the way we live today.

A lace pattern that is no longer in production fondly called “Canons Lace” was reproduced in house by our St. Martha’s Guild with just under 64,000 stitches for every 11 inches of fabric.
This beautiful lace was used for the final vows of Br. Marko and Br. Joshua.

“We should glory in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom is our salvation, life and resurrection, through whom we are saved and delivered." —St. Paul
Our Lady of Fatima, obtain for our city, our nation, and all humanity a lasting peace. Amen.
On this September 11, we remember all those who lost their lives, those who continue to carry the wounds of that day, and the many who served with courage and selflessness.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

How do we discover who God is calling us to be?
Our vocation is not something we simply create for ourselves. It is something we discover by drawing closer to Christ, learning to recognize His voice, and asking Him what He has created us to become.
Fr. David Yallaly invites us to look to Christ—and, like St. Peter, discover our own identity and mission through an encounter with Him.

Today we rejoice in the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Mary became the Mother of our Savior and a model of faith for us all. Let us celebrate with joy the birth of the Virgin Mary, through whom salvation came to the world
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!
