Officially sold all my $VRT. 730%+ gain realized in my ROTH IRA. Time to find the next man up! Ideas?
For the record, I love Sound Point. I’m a huge fan. Generally, really good investors.
Telesat lenders have proposed a C$3.2bn rescue package to avert a December default, comprising C$1.7bn in equity and C$1.5bn in debt financing.
The proposal follows litigation over Telesat's transfer of a 62% interest in its Lightspeed satellite project to a subsidiary beyond certain creditors' reach.
Lenders including Silver Point and Sound Point have challenged the transfer, making asset ownership and collateral protection central to negotiations. Telesat has not accepted the proposal.
If you don't mind sharing curious if you are holding $NNBR through earnings tomorrow? I am but confess to being a big nervous. But can't force myself to trim position near the 3.3 institutional raise a few weeks ago.
Yea I am holding $NNBR through earnings. I believe in it and its best days are ahead of it. Selling here, imo, would be very shortsighted.
I am too lazy to write shit up nowadays but I rly should have. It's two businesses and $1 of net cash.
One (Fuelchem) is high margin recurring revenue sale of chemical formulations primarily for coal plant burners but could be sold in other burner types.
The other (APC) is an emissions reduction business for gas turbine/engines where they reduce NOx particles, very similar to CECO US, that business has been losing money for years since there's been very little new gas turbines in the US, but now that's changing.
APC backlog has started inflecting meaningfully, like 3x in 3 quarters type of stuff, fuelchem keeps churning along, but the big thing is a couple months ago they got rid of their dogshit CEO and put a guy who was the COO of CECO and did a lot for their turnaround from 2020-2023, and worked for very legit industrial companies (Tyco, Xylem, etc), and I think he can do a really good job scaling this.

I've owned it a couple times before, I deeply hate that management team
If Sidecar Investing works, why don’t more people do it?
Maybe because it feels more like delegating than investing.
And people don’t just want to make money, they want to feel like they were the reason they made money.

Mom lessons: I have always told my kid. Don’t you EVER walk past someone asking for an autograph. I don’t care how tired you are. You make the time and you put a smile on your face. That moment will make someone’s day. This a privilege that you get to do this everyday. Heard
USC stole #UCLA's new tradition but forgot the winning part 😭
The attendance narrative is really dumb. UCLA is rebuilding season ticket holders who've been beaten down for two decades. You won't see the rewards of a season with this success until next year.
They also don't count students with attendance numbers since they get in for free.
why the FUCK are these talking heads spending all their time PRE-WRITING obituaries for UCLA regarding HYPOTHETICAL playoff competition TWO MONTHS away?????
I've never see any other team in CFB is get so little credit for what they've ACTUALLY accomplished, and get so trashed based on nothing but HYPOTHETICALS
