The 2026 midterms were one giant tribute to Bernie Sanders. I couldn’t be happier for him. He’s earned every bit of it.

The Charlotte Hornets are sitting right on the edge of breaking through into a legitimate dynasty. Trading away LaMelo Ball would almost certainly reset them back to the bottom tier. I truly believe all they need is to stay patient and build properly around their core. Wildcard: Coach Lee and the bench.

He definitely was not in the loop on that trade. He’s rightfully pissed @SkyWalter_ocho

I'm so fuckin happy for Bernie rn. He's finally seeing his policy messaging become the moderate position, and at the same time the Democratic party dominated the latest election running on his message.
I've watched this video a thousand times Bernie really hit all his emotes

The 2020 Primary is so vindicating yet, such a poison pill in retrospect.

They are so scared of Trump lol
Mockler: You are currently speaking like somebody who is worried that the president is watching. Rantz: He can watch all he wants. I’ve been consistent. What am I scared of? Mockler: Because you’ll never break with the president.

For comparison, here is what the moderate/centrist campaign of Colin Allred in Texas looked like just two years ago (he lost by 8 points):
This is how the issues page on James Talarico’s campaign website opens. This man may not be Darializa Chevalier but I don’t believe anyone would’ve dared call him a moderate in any previous election cycle in modern history.

Last year it was 65/35 Hornets. We are on a 5 game losing streak currently down by 30 and the guy we gave 209 million to is in the locker room, the dude we traded Melo for doesn’t wanna be here, and last years draft has played for 5 mins all szn
The Spectrum Center has to be at LEAST 70% Celtics fans tonight. Brutal for the Hornets

Great analysis on how Democrats won this cycle and the path forward from @fshakir and MPU, who did more than almost anyone to shape these outcomes.
NEW: Economic populism helped deliver impressive victories for Democrats across the nation. But those gains could be fickle and short-lived or long-lasting and durable. To keep and maintain working class majorities, here’s 5 specific ideas for what they need to do next.

KEEP THE PRESSURE UP Hakeem right now is at his weakest position. Call up all your reps that the Speaker CANNOT be Hakeem Jeffries.
NEW: House Dems "inundated" w/ calls & emails urging them not to elect Jeffries speaker One member told @axios they got "300-400" calls in 2 days Another said "over 500" A third said "higher" than 500: "It's our No. 1 issue, and it's not close." axios.com/2026/11/06/jeffrie…

Progressive Caucus chair Greg Casar in a memo to colleagues: "Our goal is not to win a battle against other Democratic caucuses. It is to pass longstanding progressive priorities that bring down costs, root out corruption, and boost wages. A big majority will help us do that."

I am going to make a bold prediction here, but based on the staff changes this is the way I see the #Panthers executing a midseason defensive transition under Wash to 43u: Step 1 (immediate): DL shifts toward more 1G attacking principles. Less pure 2G control, more penetration and crash techniques. Edges will be asked to get upfield more aggressively instead of pure edge setting on early downs. Step 2 (weeks 1-3): Secondary simplifies. Heavy C1 and C3 shells. FS in the 1H, oneresponsibility role. Strong safety more as a box/buzz player and extra run defender. DBs play more aggressively once the deep ball is taken away. Step 3 (weeks 2-4): LBs get freer. More downhill fits, tighter boxes, and cleaner pursuit on outside runs. Coverage responsibilities reduce as the shells simplify. Step 4 (ongoing): Selecitve new pressure packages and role tweaks. Not a full clean sheet overhaul since midseason transitions are incremental. Youll see the principles first, then the fuller package changes as the unit gets comfortable. They will need to marry the changes from DL to LB to DBs. They have to work as a single unit for full effectivenes. The front changes should be the earliest and clearest tell - which we should be able to notice this weekend. The rest will build from there. Let's see how far off this turns out to be. Going to be an interstesting few weeks for the #Panthers . Also, with transitions like this - its going to be ugly before it becomes pretty. Disclaimer: this is all 🌮 speculation based on what we know so far. #KeepPounding
