Tell me again about how you want to vote for Dems because they aren't corrupt and only care about making your life better.
BREAKING: NYT reports that operatives with Democratic Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign were behind the effort to find & recruit a candidate named Dan Sullivan to run against incumbent GOP Senator Dan S. Sullivan in an effort to confuse voters and peel votes from him. Specifically, NYT says they have reviewed text messages and documents that reveal in summer 2025, a Peltola staffer received instructions from campaign staffers to find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as possible. The staffer complied, going through voter records, and compiled a list. The operation “involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs.” Per NYT: “The plan worked. This spring, a retired teacher from a tiny fishing village along the Alaska Panhandle, reachable only by air and sea, announced his candidacy for Senate. His name was Dan J. Sullivan.” nytimes.com/2026/10/28/us/po…

There are a ton of stories like this. American healthcare is top drawer. Cost is an issue, but two steps would help. Fix Obamacare which has been an unmitigated disaster and have a catastrophic coverage plan that protects people from bankruptcy
Armed guards at the door. Opioids offered on repeat. Apple Pay at my bedside. Welcome to the American Emergency Room. The French think it bankrupts you. Americans think France does it for free. I’ve been to the ER in both. Both are wrong. Mountain bike crash, dislocated and fractured shoulder. I’m French, I live in San Francisco, and I take slightly too many risks. Let’s compare. Security 🇺🇸 Kaiser in Marin. Three armed guards and a metal detector. My phone set it off, so with my shoulder out of its socket I walked through again. And again. Then a pat-down. 🇫🇷 A couple of unarmed guys with walkie-talkies. Still not sure what they’re for. Wait 🇺🇸 Three people in the waiting room. Seen in 15 to 30 minutes. 🇫🇷 Broken hand: packed room, 4 hours before anyone touched me. Records 🇺🇸 Kaiser is vertically integrated. Insurer, hospital, doctors: one system. They had my file before I sat down. 🇫🇷 Every new doctor is a fresh context window. Zero history, maybe a printout from last time. Infrastructure 🇺🇸 Small hospital, serious kit. Straight to the trauma bay: real bed, IV, vitals monitoring, ready for surgery if needed. All imaging on the spot. 🇫🇷 Broken hand: a plastic chair and a Doliprane. Drugs 🇺🇸 Strong opioids were the default offer. I said no. They insisted. The doctor came in personally, confused why someone in that much pain would refuse. I stuck to Tylenol, an anti-inflammatory, to put the shoulder back in. Yes, it hurt. No, I didn’t tap out. My mom is proud of me. 🇫🇷 Broken hand: Doliprane, opioids never mentioned. I have friends who got their shoulder popped back in with nothing at all. US default: opioids. French default: Doliprane. Bill 🇺🇸 Every nurse warned me: “You’re French, this bill is going to traumatize you.” Before discharge, someone came to my bed to collect payment. Apple Pay, from the hospital bed. $300. For everything. On a ~$500/month Kaiser plan. 🇫🇷 A flat ~€20 ER fee, usually reimbursed by your mutuelle. The real bill shows up later, on your payslip (see below) followup 🇺🇸 Kaiser called me right after to set up follow-up and physio, all in their system. So far, so good. 🇫🇷 Broken hand: discharged, figure it out yourself. A friend dislocated her finger. They put it back in wrong, sent her home with bad instructions, it locked up, and she needed surgery months later. Still not fixed. “Free healthcare” in France It’s not free when your marginal tax rate nears 70% with social charges. And if you want quality care fast, more and more people pay for private clinics anyway. Verdict One person, one data point. But the care was 10x better than anything I’ve had in France, for a price that’s completely fine. France has a lot to learn. And yes, I refused the narcotics to stay sharp enough to launch a NanoCorp from my hospital bed. Launch your first company run by an AI agent: nanocorp .so

One of the funniest things about moving to CO is becoming comfortable with the state's - very - casual relationship with guardrails on highways with sheer drop offs. It's different here.

I didn't know their show was still on. Does anyone watch?
That. Was. Awkward. I asked @seanspicer and @rachaelmbade this morning on @theDChuddle if he would be called to the stage and speak.

So, who will be the first Democrat to announce that Palmer Luckey should be investigated?
BlueChip. Built in America. America made the first electronic computer to win a war. Now we depend on our greatest adversaries to build the computers that run our economy and defend our nation. Today, we bring it home.

Isn't there someone on her staff that can tell her to stop digging? Is she so tough on her people that they won't tell her the truth?
There’s a clear playbook when it comes to myself and @SenMarkKelly, James Comey, or anyone else the President doesn’t like. He tries to intimidate and weaponize the government against them. We have to push back.

While I’ve been traveling across Michigan, folks are asking me questions about our upcoming midterm elections and voting. Let me be clear: Michigan’s elections are safe and secure. They're run by the state and our localities –- not the President. Michiganders, to find your local clerk, learn where you vote, check your registration, and track your ballot if you vote absentee, visit the Michigan Voter Information Center (michigan.gov/vote). Another great resource is MichiganVoting.org, which provides registration and voting information. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to be a poll worker and help Michigan's elections run smoothly: michigan.gov/sos/elections/p…

Just saw an account here that said the non AI economy was "in a deep recession". I think that speaks to much of the ignorance out there. Things are not perfect, they never will be, but there are many good signs in the underlying economy that are being (intentionally in some cases) ignored
Trump’s green shoots are right here, you just have to ignore the doomers. Latest AAR rail data: 540,135 total carloads + intermodal units last week, up 8.5% year-over-year. Intermodal jumped 12.6%, carloads +3.5%. YTD volume is up 3.7%. Freight is moving. The economy is working.

Good for him! The guy wrote one of the great power pop songs of the ‘80’s and was having fun with it right to the end. RIP.

Clever. Bonus: exposing Obama’s elite snobbery.
Since we're talking about The Cheesecake Factory... The only thing bigger than the menu is the list of President Trump's accomplishments. 🤫

Yup! It’s official. I definitely am the only American who has never been to a Cheesecake Factory. This guy even has a regular order!
🚨Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on President Obama mocking the Cheesecake Factory: “This is the man who built the museum and it looks like Darth Vader’s tomb.” Bessent also told @FoxBusiness' @FBNNicoleMac he frequents the Cheesecake Factory and always orders the French dip cheeseburger — and suggested the “Martha’s Vineyard set” should “give it a try.”

A lot of Republicans are going to not vote or vote Dem this midterm.....or, at least so I'm told. When they complain about these candidates that they helped we won't let them forget that they failed to do their part.
New low for normalized Jew-hate in the American Democratic Party. Very sad: Painting your political opponents as puppets of Jews, as this El-Sayed ad does, and as crazed baby-killers and money-grubbing villains who are the root cause of every bad thing not just in the world, but in your life—from wars to the price of eggs to the reason you can’t have free healthcare—is not just low-grade Jew-hate. It’s pure Third Reich stuff, translated directly from the original German. Do you remember when Jewish Democrats in Michigan explained that they would vote for El-Sayed despite his open disdain for Jews, since there are many other important issues they need him to fight for? That anything was worth it to “defeat MAGA”? Well, here’s El-Sayed’s answer to them: Don’t worry, all those issues we agree on, like healthcare, inflation, and climate change, I’m going to make them about Jews too! I will tell the public that the Jews are the reason they can’t have those things.
