Mrs Cedar lost her Yorkie yesterday - Pooh was a five year cancer survivor. She passed away unexpectedly after falling asleep in my wife’s arms just before 6 PM.
If you wrote a script of tbe perfect life for a little 4 pound dog I could not think of a thing that was left out.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at approximately 6:34 p.m., CMPD officers responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the 10600 block of Moores Chapel Road.
Upon arrival, officers located a Harley Davidson motorcycle off the left side of the road and a Honda Pilot with front left quarter damage at the crash location. The driver of the Honda, Jose Salas Tzompaxtle, 36, was on scene and advised of no injuries. The motorcycle rider, Rodney Ewing Quinn, 66, and passenger, Dana Asbill Osborne, 63, were both lying in the roadway unresponsive. MEDIC pronounced both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle deceased on scene.
Jose Salas Tzompaxtle showed signs of impairment and was charged with two counts of Felony Death by Motor Vehicle and issued a citation for No Operators License.
He is now also under an ICE detainer.

CMPD Reporting that the first victim of Charlotte's latest run of murders is Zachary Howie age 35.
This is a outlier in that Zach is seldom an African American name. It is also unusual for a white male to be the victim of a Homicide in Da Creek.
At this point it is unconfirmed but the age and location match prior arrests for Zachary Jackson Howie of Fort Mill. Mr. Howie has a history of weapons arrests.

What the Chief and much of the Command Staff fail to understand is that homicides are the most visible sign of an unsafe community. They can brag about lower violent crime stats all they like but when they shrug at the homicide number it’s insulting.
