On Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at approximately 6:34 p.m., CMPD officers responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the 10600 block of Moores Chapel Road.   Upon arrival, officers located a Harley Davidson motorcycle off the left side of the road and a Honda Pilot with front left quarter damage at the crash location. The driver of the Honda, Jose Salas Tzompaxtle, 36, was on scene and advised of no injuries. The motorcycle rider, Rodney Ewing Quinn, 66, and passenger, Dana Asbill Osborne, 63, were both lying in the roadway unresponsive. MEDIC pronounced both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle deceased on scene. Jose Salas Tzompaxtle showed signs of impairment and was charged with two counts of Felony Death by Motor Vehicle and issued a citation for No Operators License. He is now also under an ICE detainer. Deport them all!

Shot dead in Steele Creek last night, Ariel Isaac Rodriquez-Pineda, 19, and a 16-year-old juvenile. Shot but survived, Luis Martinez, 19, who sustained life-threatening injuries and a 16-year-old juvenile sustained non-life-threatening injuries in this case. Yet nearly 18 hours later still crickets from CMPD's Chief of Police.

CMPD Reporting that the first victim of Charlotte's latest run of murders is Zachary Howie age 35. This is a outlier in that Zach is seldom an African American name. It is also unusual for a white male to be the victim of a Homicide in Da Creek. At this point it is unconfirmed but the age and location match prior arrests for Zachary Jackson Howie of Fort Mill. Mr. Howie has a history of weapons arrests.

Five people shot dead in 24 hours and CMPD’s Chief of Police Stella Patterson is MIA. Odd that she has time to announce the firing of 7 officers over mean text messages but won’t get out of bed when lives are lost to gun violence. Leadership doesn’t wait til Monday at 9am!

I get it, we have wide cultural differences with our Hispanic southern neighbors. But when you enter our country you must follow our basic and fundamental principles like 12 year old girls are off limits! These two illegals are pedo sex offenders. Both arrested by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police yesterday. Both have ICE Detainers. EVER ROLANDO FUNEZ AGE 33 Charged with: •INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH CHILD (4 COUNTS) •STAT RAPE OF CHILD (AGE 12) BY ADULT (4 COUNTS) RONALDINIO GABRIEL MACARIO-VASQUEZ AGE 21 Charged with: •STATUTORY RAPE OF CHILD (AGE 15) (2 COUNTS) •INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH CHILD (2 COUNTS) Deport them ALL!

Mega Yachts, Chilly Mornings and Allison The dock lines creak and the cold wind blows steady from the north. While Charleston’s summer lingers like an unwelcome relative, fall is often fleeting and may last only a few short weeks. It seems as if only yesterday the sun rose at 5 AM and wouldn’t set until long after small children should be in bed. But in October the sun slips over the horizon before the evening rush hour is complete, then darkness drags on until 7:30 each morning and with the extended darkness comes a chill to the predawn hours. The transit dock at the Charleston City Marina is overflowing with “Mega” yachts fleeing winter's grip. Names like Traveler, Carpe Diem, Sun Chaser, Argyll and Chevy Toy, their New England summer behind them, the crews of these yachts are looking forward to summer all over again in South Florida or the islands. The marina dock staff is happy to receive newly issued winter jackets, stoically black in color to hide the noticeable effects of handing diesel fuel hoses and wet dock lines. Yachts heading south consume outrageous amounts of pricey diesel fuel and dock work is hard and often dirty. The Charleston City Marina's always smiling Allison stops to say hello. She's riding shotgun in one of the marina's many golf carts and her legs are covered with a thick fleece blanket. As the sun warms the morning and the chill retreats, Allison discards the blanket and long before noon the jacket as well. It might be cold in the morning, but she’s not yet ready to give up on wearing her summer shorts. Such is the way of pretty southern girls like Allison. Patience brings midday temperatures in the 70’s, absent is the smothering humidity, as are the tourists who clog East Bay and Market Streets during summer afternoons. As the last days of autumn come to a close in New England, the sleek and shimmering 100 foot yachts begin to move south. The City Marina will be a busy place for the next few weeks, as the mega yachts and their snow birds head to warmer waters. Those who arrive at the junction of the Ashley and Cooper Rivers before the end of November will without doubt enjoy Charleston’s wonderful fall weather and of course the always warm smile and friendly wave from Allison.
