So glad my boy at UTRGV!
DITV COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF — 84 DAYS UNTIL UTRGV FOOTBALL
Today we got one of the coldest athletes on the roster.
ZION BROWN @ZionQb
No. 84 | WR | 6’0 | 190
Atascocita, Texas
Atascocita HS → UTRGV
This one got straight-up video game numbers.
Before arriving in the Valley, Brown was cooking defenses at quarterback for Atascocita.
Career numbers:
8,115 passing yards
83 passing TDs
2,070 rushing yards
30 rushing TDs
That’s over 10,000 total yards and 113 total touchdowns.
As a senior he went crazy:
▪️ 3,210 passing yards
▪️ 37 passing TDs
▪️ 2,070 rushing yards
▪️ 30 rushing TDs
Brown earned District Offensive Player of the Year and became one of the most dangerous playmakers in Texas.
And the bloodline is different.
His father, Wilbert Brown, played in the NFL and won a Super Bowl with the Patriots. His uncle Jeremiah Trotter is an Eagles Hall of Famer.
Now the former QB is bringing that athleticism and football IQ to the UTRGV receiver room.
Made his collegiate debut in 2025. Don’t be surprised if No. 84 starts making noise when the lights come on this fall.
84 days until kickoff.

All the good teams have competition at each position! The biggest mistake a coach can make is handing a position to a player that didn’t earn it.
