I actually have my initial goal for the charity search engine ready. The absolute minimum: core fields, search box, one filter, automatic 'pipeline' to turn source urls into data. Check @CharitiusOrg for more.

Updated plan: - Create Readme.md file and put code on #GitHub - Add another country source file and make scripts handle both countries in more generic way. - As stated earlier: setup Flask with super simple search engine & put it on Digital Ocean.

Progress: For Canada, I made scripts that downloads source file, takes out breaking characters, changes to UTF-8 encoding, removes columns and creates JSON that can be bulk uploaded to #ElasticSearch. A Makefile kicks it all off.

Hm.. the @CharitiusOrg account is a bit under-used. The whole project is a bit on pause at the moment. Ran into very slow searching when adding millions of records to the database. Didn't have the time / skills combination to tackle that problem at the time..
