Put your little story about what people have done to you into the big story of what Jesus did for you, and you’ll have the power you need to forgive rather than be twisted by anger and to seek justice rather than revenge.

Every temptation comes with a promise.
It whispers, “This will satisfy you.” And every time we give in to sin, we’re believing that promise over God’s.
The way to fight sin isn’t just trying harder or feeling more guilty.
Faith breaks the power of sin because it believes something better — that everything God promises us in Christ is more satisfying than anything sin could ever offer.
Read ‘Future Grace’ by John Piper to learn how to not just say no to temptation, but to say yes to a greater joy.

The other 11 disciples didn’t stop believing in Jesus because of Judas’s actions.
Even when they scattered temporarily, Jesus found them gathered together in prayer & worship after His resurrection.
If the actions of others destroy your faith, you need to ask yourself: “Was my faith truly in Jesus, or was it in people?”

Lord,
I worry because I forget your wisdom.
I resent because I forget your mercy.
I covet because I forget your beauty.
I sin because I forget your holiness.
I fear because I forget your sovereignty.
You always remember me. Help me to remember you.
Amen...

Sinner, meet the great Savior: Jesus Christ. He, the only one who ever deserved eternal life by his perfect obedience, laid down his life that you may share in his reward. God offers you mercy, not by letting you out of hell centuries early on good behavior, but by sending his own Son to bear your consequence so you never taste a drop of his wrath.
His obedience for your rebellion, his reward for your guilt, his death for your life. Will you not relent?

The love you’ve always been looking for from your parents, you’re going to get in the arms of your Father. The love you’ve been looking for from your spouse, you’re going to get in the arms of your ultimate spouse, Jesus Christ. The significance you’ve been trying to get from your job or your achievements or your art or your political causes or whatever—you’re going to get when the triune God says to you, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – @timkellernyc

Christ will treat you not only with welcome but with dearness. When you are coming to him, he will run to meet you, to embrace you and will evermore treat you with as great love as you do him and far greater.

Are you just using Jesus?
Receiving Christ in a saving way means preferring Christ over everything. It means desiring Christ himself, not just what he can do for you. It means being satisfied with all that God is for us in Jesus.

If there is no day of judgment (to account for all the wrongs of the world that people have gotten away with), what hope is there for the world?
But if there is a day of judgment, what hope is there for me?
Jesus is our answer to both questions.

He hath set a fountain open for you to wash in from sin and uncleanness. Christ is calling, inviting, and wooing you; and the Holy Ghost is striving with you by his internal motions and influences.

When I came to Christ, when you come to Christ, when anybody comes to Christ—we come with the most unbelievably small ambitions.
We want inner peace. We want a little reorientation. We want a little pickup. We want to feel like our lives matter. We want some inspiration. But boy, oh boy, there’s a lot more to it than that. – @timkellernyc

We all want to be "in" and loved. This is our God-given desire, but sin distorts this in our lives.
