This is one of the most heartbreaking videos I have ever watched. After the demolition of people’s homes by @nemaug , a devastated mother reportedly chose to take her own life, overwhelmed by the pain of losing everything she had worked for. In the video, her young son can be seen desperately pleading with her not to do it. No child should ever have to witness such pain. No mother should be pushed to such hopelessness.

Today, we joined @ChildrenUg at the holiday reading camp under the theme “Readers Are Leaders.” It is inspiring to witness children confidently engaging with books, sharing ideas and discovering the power of knowledge through reading. We believe that nurturing a reading culture among children is key to building confident, informed and empowered future leaders. Every page read opens up new possibilities, strengthens creativity and inspires dreams beyond limitations. We appreciate @ChildrenUg for creating safe learning spaces that encourage literacy, mentorship and personal growth among children during the school holidays. Together we are transforming lives with one page, one book at a time. #ReadersAreLeaders

No child should suffer because their family is struggling. When poverty, hunger, or hardship enters a home, it often steals a child’s joy, safety, and hope. We cannot ignore this Our Program exists to restore hope to families raising children with special challenges @children
