BREAKING: Brazil's election could be annulled, according to the New York Times.
Electoral lawyers say Brazil's current situation is "extremely serious" and a "critical situation."
The NYT reports that confusion over a last-minute voting extension by Justice Cristiano Zanin, who was appointed by Lula, could lead to the election being annulled.
"This is an extremely serious, critical situation," said electoral lawyer Priscilla Sodré Pereira to the New York Times.
When Zanin made the last-minute decision to extend voting hours, some polling stations had already closed and shut down their voting machines. They could not reopen.
"Fernando Neisser, an electoral law professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas, a Brazilian research institute, said the election could be annulled if the margin is very narrow and it is shown that polling stations stayed open longer in areas that strongly favor one candidate," the NYT reported.
Wow.

You have to remember that Americans have suffered 50+ years of demoralization propaganda designed to break their spirit. A lot of people feel mentally defeated. They don't believe they can win. All of the fight has gone out of them.

Blasphemy was strictly punished because commanders believed the army risked losing divine favor.
John of Austria, the hero of Lepanto, was known for punishing blasphemy so strictly that after three months, his men were "more like monks in a convent than like soldiers in a camp."
Replying to @LandsknechtPike
It’s interesting how many articles of war have as firstmost punishment as blasphemy. It must indicate that despite the heavily religious times it happened all the time, unfortunately.

We just launched this gorgeous edition of Virgil's Aeneid in the unimpeachable Dryden translation, with artworks from British artist Sam Wild (@Art_Deano).
This is the work that T. S. Eliot described as "the classic of all Europe".

Minnesota media rushes to smear St. Thomas student, ignores vile history of left-wing provocateur

St. Thomas student drops out amid viral backlash as eyewitness details activist's tactics: 'Wants to incite people'
The young woman issued a public apology Tuesday following a viral confrontation with left-wing activist Derek Torstenson, a Russian-born man whom an eyewitness described as having a long history of deliberately provoking people.
Alpha News spoke with Sarah Barker, who attended the Oct. 14 Turning Point USA event featuring women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines at the University of Minnesota, where the confrontation occurred.
Barker said Torstenson held a megaphone near her ear while shouting insults such as "you're a transphobe," "you hate trans people," and "you should have been aborted."

Probably the most annoying trait of the henpecking evangelical den mother type, of which there is a whole online ecosystem that encourages and rewards exactly this sort of endless nagging (pardon me, “content”), is the uncritical moralization of their discomfort/displeasure into various Rules of Christian Behavior. I don’t like horror movies so it’s Unchristian to watch them. I don’t like when my husband plays video games so Upright Christian Men shouldn’t do it. She is free to stick to her pureflix and kitschy embroidered throw pillows, but no that’s not enough, because what really matters is the cozy feeling she gets from the brood’s obedient validation of her various neuroses

Churburg Castle, South Tyrol (northern Italy).
Built in the 1250s by Prince-Bishop Heinrich von Montfort of Chur as a stronghold against the powerful and rebellious Lords of Matsch. Yet roughly 40 years later, the castle had passed into the hands of that very same Matsch family anyway.
Following the extinction of the male Matsch family line in the early 16th century, ownership passed to the Trapp family (later Counts of Trapp), who have owned and lived in the castle ever since.
The castle survived medieval power struggles and wars. Only one of its defensive towers was destroyed as a consequence of feuds between branches of the family…
🏰🇩🇪Burg Eltz, Wierschem, Germany
Construction of this castle was started in the 12th century by a branch of the German House of Eltz, who still retain ownership to this day.
This castle along with Bürresheim Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles on the Eifel region which have never been destroyed!
This is both a medieval burg (fortified castle) and also a Schloss (palace, manor).

This is why the Republicans lose. You have a member of the opposite party saying she's going to target your staffers with lawfare to terrorize them out of politics for good and you have nothing to say?
Some of the good ones like @Eric_Schmitt have a good excuse because they're traveling with the President on the campaign trail right now but the vast majority are just impotent or lazy. Totally unacceptable.
Call your senator, call your member of the house and tell them to wake the fuck up. We have a midterm election in a few weeks and Slotkin just handed you the gift of the century.

This is a good breakdown. The muted response to Senator Slotkin's terrorism and violations of the law from the GOP will mean an escalation from the Democrats.
That escalation will come in the form of political violence and lawfare. If people like Slotkin aren't held accountable, innocent young Republicans will be the ones paying the price. Which up until this point has included everything from fear and intimidation to job losses and even murder.
You get what you tolerate. If we tolerate this, there is nothing the Democrats won't do to destroy our lives.
Our response to @ElissaSlotkin's threat to conservative staffers:
“We are going to help them get jobs, we are going to put them to work, and if anyone comes after them—they’ll have a fight on their hands.”
