If you've been following me for awhile, you know that I was a filmmaker/VFX guy in a past life. Well, I dusted off the editing software and made my first ever feature-length film. Would love for you to check it out. youtube.com/watch?v=qWm_6l5m…

my mom (who's a university professor) did something interesting last year: she assigned her students to give chatgpt an essay question, have it write a paper, and then proofread/fact check it. nearly every single student in that class came out of that assignment anti-chatgpt.
how it feels to be a university student who's anti-chatgpt

“You need an underpaid person AND a robot to do the job of a person, but worse” really sums up the whole AI thing quite nicely
It seems some people are still confused about how autonomous the Optimus bots were at the Tesla event. This clip is from another video Tesla released a while ago. It shows how the bots are controlled remotely using a haptic suit, kind of like puppets. Also, during the event, the operators were speaking through a microphone. None of the bots were talking on their own. In short, all the hand movements and speaking were done remotely, but the walking was autonomous.

Realtime broadcast graphics made with @rive_app 🙌 To quote a recent user, “I don’t think the world understands just how much is about to change” Rive empowers creatives to build production-ready graphics, not mockups or prototypes, that can easily connected to data and events

I'm just now tuning into the CLE-DET ALDS and wow they have shrunk the scorebug and really decided that 'title safe' is no longer a thing

This feels like a big deal to me. Flagship broadcast network finally committing to a reality where we're not worried about action/title safe areas

That being said, do I *like* it? Because honestly this feels *too* small to me, and being shoved way in the corner accentuates the smaller size.

I think we did a pretty good job with this layout all things considered

FanGraphs is a treat for modern baseball fans, and the community's support is imperative for it to continue thriving. I'll gladly match August's contribution of five subscriptions. Paying for excellence is something I'm proud to do. So quote-tweet away on his to win a year free.
I have purchased 5, one-year, ad- and paywall-free memberships to @FanGraphs, and I want 5 of you to have them. If you are interested, it is very easy to be eligible: simply quote-tweet this tweet with a link to a FanGraphs article that has stuck with you over the years. (4/9)

Wanna hear something EXTREMELY COOL? I worked on the software on the tablet this guy is using during this segment! 😎 I'll be back in NYC working from Paramount studios on more graphics for 6 weeks leading up to the election!
