I guess it’s true that you never really know who’s going to walk through the doors of your church. Yesterday, we had the unexpected honor of welcoming rock legend Alice Cooper (@alicecooper) to our service! It was amazing to meet him and chat with him afterwards. đŸ™đŸ»đŸ€˜đŸŒ

Dear Christian, YOUR VOTE MATTERS! As followers of Jesus, we're called to be salt and light—not just within the walls of the church, but in the world around us. Politics matter because politicians make policies and pass laws that impact people's lives. So pray, do your homework, and vote according to your biblical convictions. And remember—our hope is not in a political party, a candidate, or an election outcome. Our hope is in JESUS! Let's be people who pray faithfully, steward responsibly, and love others regardless of how they vote. Get out and VOTE! đŸ‡ș🇾 #GodBlessAmerica

Are you looking to give #BooksAsAGift? The paperback version of Nine Words from Jesus: A Manifesto of Hope to Thrive in the Present and Prevail in the Future by @ChuckETate is ON SALE for $12.16 #BookReview: "In this incredibly written book, Nine Words From Jesus, its author, Chuck Tate, does an exceptional job of extracting valuable lessons from GOD’s word and showing how even the small details have something for us to chew on, and be enriched by. The focal point of this well – written book is Bartimaeus’s story, and it is told to us through the perspective of Bartimaeus, the crowd, as well as JESUS. Tate does an outstanding job of explaining the role that faith plays in our breakthroughs, and how it invites GOD to perform the miraculous in our life. If you are discipling a new believer, this is a great book to pair with GOD’s word, because just how GOD’s promises are backed and reinforced by HIS WORD, so is this incredible book. If you know of someone who is need of peace, hope, and the strength to persevere through a difficult situation, then I highly recommend that you gift them this biblically rich, life – changing book. I’m confident that it will not only fill them with hope, but it will anchor them to CHRIST, the ultimate, never-ending source of hope. As a poet, and an author, I love it when I read where another author utilizes various literary devices to enhance their work. In the following example, Chuck utilizes “alliteration” to share how the word of GOD helps us become strong in the face of adversity: “The key to developing faith – filled fortitude lies in scripture. Mental toughness in the face of adversity is rooted in the renewal of our mind through the Word of God” (Tate 112). This is so true!! Tate’s remarkable story – telling, combined with his incredible sense of humor, will surely keep you engaged. The are so many examples of things from this book that instantly brought a smile to my face. For instance, the first line of chapter 15 begins like this: “Truth be told, I’m an 80’s guy. I graduated from high school in 1988, so for me, the 80’s will always be synonymous with rushing home from school to catch Stryper on MTV, cranking Christian metal bands on my Sony Walkman, and going to Blockbuster to rent movies and video games” (Tate 191). That whole excerpt made me smile, because I was born in February of 1987, and despite our age differences, it is the gospel that closes that gap. The prayers at the end of each chapter will help you feel prepared to receive your breakthrough. This beautifully – written book is a great reminder that the same advice that JESUS gave to the first disciples, is just as useful for us in our days as it was for them in theirs. Tate does an impeccable job of displaying for the reader who JESUS is, which is extremely valuable, because when you know who HE is, you know what HE can do for you, as well as those who have yet to hear of HIS life – changing gospel. This Must - Read book will Fuel your Passion for Sharing Jesus, and Make You Want to Share It, too!!! At the end of the day, if you are looking for your next must – read book, then I highly recommend Nine Words From Jesus: A Manifesto of Hope To Thrive And Prevail In The Future by pastor, and author, Chuck Tate. I promise you, once you're finished, you won’t be disappointed". - @WomackPoetry26, author, A Poetic Exploration of the Bible: From Genesis to Revelation purchase link: amazon.com/Nine-Words-Jesus-

I’m 55 and this is my exact story
and I share the same sentiments.

Are you struggling? Depressed? Weighed down with anxiety? If you live in the Peoria area, get to @RockChurch today (or join us online)! We're talking about JESUS JOY! If my joy depends on my circumstances, then my circumstances are in control of my joy. Biblical joy goes deeper! Happiness is connected to what is happening AROUND me. Joy is produced by what the Holy Spirit is doing WITHIN me. This is why joy can exist in places where happiness makes absolutely no sense. Real joy...supernatural joy is rooted in Christ! #JesusJoy

I am a child abuse survivor. I endured 21 years of violence and sexual abuse. I remember being r*ped when I was 2 or 3 years old. I remember being beat up numerous times. I was suicidal quite a few times as a teen and always kept a bag packed in case I needed to run away. But guess what? I don’t go around killing people. In fact, I’ve never committed any crimes. I am sick to death of hearing idiots excuse, explain, or justify Christa Pike’s barbaric homicidal sadism because she had a crappy childhood. That doesn’t make her actions understandable. It actually makes them WORSE. Because she knows exactly how it feels to be abused, yet she chose to inflict that agony on others. Pike should have been executed 30 years ago. You cannot fix a person who chooses to be broken.

This video of Hillary Clinton saying the quiet part out loud about Christians is going viral again for some reason. This stuff is only going to grow more prevalent in our culture. Stand firm, Christian.

In Matthew chapter one, the names continue. Kings rise and fall. Some honor God; others turn away. Eventually, Matthew reaches one of the darkest moments in Israel’s history: the exile to Babylon. Jerusalem falls. The people are carried away. The throne looks empty. If you were living in that moment, you might have wondered, Did God forget what He promised Abraham? Did He forget what He promised David? But Matthew keeps writing the names. Generation after generation, the promise is still moving—even when the people can’t see where it is going. And maybe you need that reminder today. Just because you can’t see what God is doing doesn’t mean He has stopped working. Just because the story looks different than you expected doesn’t mean the promise has been forgotten. God is still writing your story. The promise is still moving. #41WillCome #41isComing

When you read the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1, you will notice that it's filled with messy stories. God’s grace does not require an edited family tree. Your past is real, but it does not have to be the final word on your life!

What is shaping YOU? In this timely message, we challenge followers of Jesus to develop a truly biblical worldview—one shaped by Scripture rather than social media, political tribes, popular opinion, or the constantly changing values of culture. youtu.be/Pqjt-lOjT_s?si=8ybb

GOD'S WORD > Culture 👇 "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." —Romans 12:2 (NLT) Notice that Paul doesn't just say “Change the way you behave.” He says, “Change the way you THINK.” Why? The way you think determines the way you live. We must think Biblically about EVERY are of life. THEN you will learn to know God’s will! Your life depends on it! GOD'S WORD > Culture
