One of my favorite easter eggs is the ability to look at a geography within a geography with greater detail and context. Click a location within the geography table and it will expand to show that geography in greater detail.

LA mayor’s race: what’s been counted so far is maybe 10% of the final citywide turnout we’ll see in November (likely 1.0–1.2M when all is said and done). Pictured: 2022 General vs. 2026 Primary results across the city, from the @CiviqData platform. Two things jump out immediately: 1. Some of Bass’s strongest 2022 areas are where Raman did best in the primary. I think those coalitions overlap more than the top-line suggests? 2. The Pratt/Caruso areas are another open question. Where do those voters land now that it’s a two-way race?
