One of my favorite easter eggs is the ability to look at a geography within a geography with greater detail and context. Click a location within the geography table and it will expand to show that geography in greater detail.

LA mayor’s race: what’s been counted so far is maybe 10% of the final citywide turnout we’ll see in November (likely 1.0–1.2M when all is said and done). Pictured: 2022 General vs. 2026 Primary results across the city, from the @CiviqData platform. Two things jump out immediately: 1. Some of Bass’s strongest 2022 areas are where Raman did best in the primary. I think those coalitions overlap more than the top-line suggests? 2. The Pratt/Caruso areas are another open question. Where do those voters land now that it’s a two-way race?

I can't express to you how much I love it when we put out hype videos. Like the Super Bowl for nerds around here.

I keep shouting this from the rooftops whenever I can: over 50% of the audience activations in the Civiq platform have been generated with the assistance of AI. This is the beginning transformational shift in campaigns. The next 10 years will look nothing like the last 10.
How are political campaigns in California using AI tools? @ColePatterson, co-founder of Optiq Data and new tool Civiq, said big examples are research & millions of voter contacts. "This is going to lead to campaigns having a much more efficient way of talking to voters."

What I will be sure to do next time is say something about how by the time that viewers see this, there will be even more ballots cast. When we filmed, there was over 500k returned, flash forward to today: there are over 1M cast, and likely to be over 2M very soon. 65+ and up still over 57% of electorate so far though.
Many of the voters who have turned in their ballots so far in California are at least 65 years old. Co-founder of Optiq Data @ColePatterson explains what we can expect in the coming weeks:

Thanks for having me on, @ZavalaA. AI is significantly changing how campaigns research races and talk to voters. Excited about what this means for teams up and down the ballot in California.
