Yes, Christians believe, even though people may have deformities it does not diminish their value. How is this controversial?
I love the FACT that according to the bible, this CHILD was created in the IMAGE and LIKENESS of God!!!

Replying to @HighAsTy
Fun fact: Drake Maye would have to throw 112 straight 1 yard passes to bring his avg yards per attempt down to Bo Nix’s level.

Since it thoroughly reflects our own world, I think it does.
Tolkien’s pious position that the direct miraculous intervention of God Himself, and only that, could make one good, is perhaps not as convincing as you might think.

The community note forces me to remind people of Tolkien Letter 153: “I should be inclined to say that they are ‘irredeemably bad’ in the view of Elves and Men, but I do not say 'irredeemably bad' absolutely… they are not quite outside the reach of the Creator’s mercy."
[NEWS] “Marnûkh is a character meant to challenge long-held perceptions of Orcs. He’s such a departure from past depictions that within the production, Marnûkh has picked up the catchy nickname, “the Orc with an arc.” #TheRingsOfPower

This won’t make the rounds because it goes against a certain narrative but I’m glad to see what I have longed thought to be true to be just that.
Morfydd Clark shuts down the idea of an actual love triangle in 'The Rings of Power' Season 3. "Sauron thinks he might be in a love triangle, but he’s not." (via: syfy.com/syfy-wire/lord-the-…)

It’s interesting. After a little deep dive Tolkien actually says. "They might be 'irredeemably' bad in this world, but that is a different matter. I should be inclined to say that they are ‘irredeemably bad’ in the view of Elves and Men, but I do not say 'irredeemably bad' absolutely. They are not necessarily or naturally worse than Elves or Men, but they have been so broken and twisted and subjected to a great Dark Lord that they are incapable of any choice but evil. But they are not quite outside the reach of the Creator’s mercy." J.R.R. Tolkien, The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien, Letter #153 However, in my view lol this is where I think rings of power loses it a little. Tolkien seemed to decide for the story treating them as evil and fundamentally irredeemable in the eyes of elves and men was better for the overall narrative. His actual personal philosophy was slightly different to what the books / films ended up portraying. Because his belief is that anyone can be redeemed in the eyes of God. It’s an interesting deep dive anyways.

The same dudebros who loved Ratbag in the Shadow of Mordor games will claim to hate Marnukh despite the two characters feeling eerily similar in both appearance and roles in their stories. #noticing
[NEWS] “Is he good, is he bad? Do we know? Is he smarter than he makes out? And what's his drive? He's coming out of Sauron's world … I don't want to say too much on that, but what's his purpose?,” says Young. “That's been a lot of fun to play around with. And for the audience, it’s working out whether they trust him. And they will see as the show goes on, he's a tough nut to crack.” #TheRingsOfPower

Wearing the jacket they gave the students. I think the thing that disappoints me the most is I wish Shipp had a better QB cause dude deserves to shine more.
"I don't think there's going to be no dramatic changes that are happening. We just got to put more of an emphasis on just finishing." #UNC wide receiver Jordan Shipp on the offense's struggles to pull away vs. Syracuse.

"you’re not a good parent if you haven’t performed a little nepotism" shit ya know when you put it like that
Sylvester Stallone says that having his daughter in a major role in ‘TULSA KING’ Season 4 is absolutely nepotism. “First they go, ‘Nepotism is terrible. I said, ‘Oh please, you’re not a good parent if you haven’t performed a little nepotism.' Then obviously you don’t care about your kids, because they come first. Of course it’s nepotism, you idiot. That’s why we’re parents. We want the best for our children. So obviously, we let them have every advantage.” (Source: usatoday.com/story/entertain…)
