"The government have actively avoided looking for evidence Russia interfered." This is arguably the greatest scandal of modern British politics. The Intelligence & Security Committee's Stewart Hosie said the government didn't investigate alleged Russian interference in the Brexit vote, and no one wanted to touch this "with a ten-foot pole". Successive British governments including Starmer's have covered up the extent of Russian interference in the most important vote in modern British history. Please repost to demand that Andy Burnham shows the courage to put an end to this cover-up and allows an inquiry to expose the truth about Russian interference in the Brexit referendum. – at Brighton, England

Elliot’s long, confused pause as he struggles to reconcile his own absurd reasoning sums up the Brexiteers’ vacuous intellectual rationale, but also the arrogance & smugness with which they conned, & continue to con, the electorate. Charlatans.
#C4News ask the Chief Executive of the Vote Leave Campaign Matthew Elliott who now sits in the House of Lords If we gave the NHS more money in 2019, before Brexit, how can giving more money to the NHS be because of Brexit I.e. it was a political choice to underfund the NHS, and funding the NHS better had nothing to do with Brexit In just 43 seconds you can see how Brexit was a con

Starmer’s departure will be seen in Paris as a loss. On his watch 🇬🇧 has become a reliable, trusted and constructive partner for 🇫🇷, on Ukraine, nuclear deterrence and more. The next PM will have his work cut out earning the same respect

Here's a happy-go-lucky 🎶 parody about the way that @RobertKennedyJr is now collapsing American healthcare - based off #PaulSimon's toe-tapping "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard". It's called: "Measles and Polio Down in the Schoolyard."

Who’s behind the Centre for Migration Control? This so-called “research organisation” has been cited in The Sun, The Telegraph, The Times and Express - but it appears to be run by one man with a Brexit campaign past, publishing opaque and selective data and wild claims about migrants.  The Eye asked the Centre for Migration Control for more information regarding its employees, funding, research methodology and third-party validation, but received no response. Full story in the new Private Eye, out now.

Applebaum: Trump shows no empathy. He calls opponents vermin and says immigrants poison the nation's blood — language used by Hitler. He’s immune to cruelty, unmoved by civilian deaths. 2/

Based on the questions you’ve presented, it appears you may be preparing to argue that the president has broad authority over immigration, perhaps in defense of Trump’s actions. And while the executive does have wide discretion in enforcing immigration law, that power ends where constitutional checks begin—specifically, with compliance to lawful orders from the judiciary. I n modern American history—post–World War II—no president has openly defied a direct federal court order in real time without appeal, compliance, or consequence; even Nixon complied with United States v. Nixon, surrendering the Watergate tapes under court order. What happened on Black Saturday - March 15, 2025- was unprecedented: the Trump administration ignored an emergency injunction and carried out deportations anyway—a direct defiance of judicial authority and a rupture in the constitutional order.

I was a history teacher and I know we have to be documenting this moment. When we look back, I don’t want us to say we didn’t know what was happening. Stephen Miller, probably the most joyless man in America, wants to take away one of our most foundational rights, habeas corpus.
