Football is the last sport where your high school still matters most. No expensive club teams controlling your path. Ball out on Friday nights, make good grades, put good film on tape, and you'll get recruited. The gridiron hasn't become a pay-to-play pipeline. #GrindOn

"Most people don't want to be pushed that hard. They want to be pushed to their level of comfort. You need coaches that push you outside your comfort zone because that’s how you grow and that’s how you develop self confidence and self esteem."

Finn is a baller! Having a huge offseason. Not done growing and has added more muscle. 6’0 185 right now. Along with the physical traits, his football IQ is off the charts.

I coached college football for 20 years. The question that decided who played had nothing to do with talent: "Can I trust you?" Every player on my roster was Green, Yellow, or Red. 🟢 Green — trusted and deployed 🟡 Yellow — developing, right on the edge 🔴 Red — talented but not yet deployable Talent gets players noticed. Trust gets them on the field. Coaches and families both need to understand this. nomoathletics.com

I asked Tom Izzo about the viral clip of Charles Barkley defending his coaching style by saying people have gotten too soft. Izzo: "Now we're supposed to just hug and kiss everybody... Accountability is going to be big until I leave."

“You guys make it about the wins and losses. 25 years from now, I want them to pick up the phone and call me because they need me. I’m there for them.” The life of a coach is an investment in people, not just points. Build a legacy that outlasts the jersey.
