Exceptional from @CoachDrinkwitz. The real job of a college football coach is to develop men for life. The transfer portal has stolen that ability because the kids can leave at the first sign of adversity. Adversity is what’s used to forge character.

The Brewers are in MLB's smallest market and rank 19th in payroll, but have one of the sport's biggest baseball ops and data teams.
They just swept the Dodgers and won their first-ever NL pennant.

Chris Fowler: “Coaching is a calling more than a profession.”
Long hours. Real criticism. Sacrifices few see.
But the impact can last a lifetime.
That’s why we coach.

I wish someone would have told me to love the battle when I was a three-year starter in college but fear and worry kept me from enjoying the game.
Now I teach what I needed to hear then: love competing. Love the moment. Love the opportunity. Love the battle.
The more you focus on love, fear fades away.
Try it and pass it on to someone who is letting fear win.
Thanks to @PatMcAfeeShow for having me on and letting me share.

Geno Auriemma has won 12 national championships at UConn.
UConn is currently 38-0, trying to win their 13th.
When Geno is recruiting, certain things instantly disqualify a recruit - no matter how talented.

Greatness is not given to a chosen few. Greatness is given to the few who choose to do 'more than what's required'.
To be great, you have to give great -great sacrifice, great focus, great discipline, great effort.
