Hereâs #Gonzaga head coach Mark Few on the eligibility limbo of three of his players:
âThe best expectation would be the NCAA just lets these guys play. Itâs really unfortunate that theyâre taking this stance. Iâm not sure why we are sticking to targeting this one specific group. Our guys are wonderful, good students and these are the type of guys we should have in college basketball.â

Steve Nash shares the truth about the journey to greatness.
"You don't have to be the chosen one."
"The secret is to build the resolve and spirit to enjoy the plateaus - the times when it doesn't feel like you're improving and you question why you're doing this."
Most people quit during the plateau. Learn to embrace it.
"If you're patient, the plateaus will become springboards."
Progress isn't linear. The flat moments aren't wasted - they're building.
"Never stop striving, reaching for your goals until you get there."
"But the truth is, even when you get there - even when you get here, standing on this stage - it's the striving, fighting, pushing yourself to the limit every day that you'll miss and you'll long for."
"You'll never be more alive than when you give something everything you have."
The destination isn't the reward - the journey is.
Enjoy the process and fall in love with the climb because that's where life happens.

Steph Curry says the first test of whether someone really wants to become great is if someone has to tell them to go to the gym
âI always tell kids now, nobody should have to tell you you should go to the gym, right? As a kid I was that type of kid, I was going to find a gym wherever.â
âMy dad played in the league, so itâs not like the access wasnât there, but he couldnât be the one telling me itâs this time, âWhat we doing today?â If Iâm not the one pushing that, start there.â
âIt always became just a joy of finding ways to get better. Every day I was just exploring, trying stuff. Never really satisfied with the level that I was shooting. Even if I had the greatest workout, Iâm probably thinking about the couple of misses that I had. I was always curious about how can I get better the next session?â
âJust exposing myself to different thought processes, being uncomfortable, getting in gyms with players better than me.â
âIf youâre not getting anything out of it, thereâs that internal voice thatâs like, âI probably coasted today.â Or, âNo, I did something. I got something out of this today.â..â
âWhen I got to the league, I thought I was preparing myself for the NBA journey⊠Just putting myself around people who knew what they were talking about and pushing me in the right direction.â

Geno Auriemma says the hardest part of coaching isnât winning games but instead dealing with parents who believe their child should play 35 minutes every game
âMy job is hard. Itâs hard because, in the world that we live in today, parents are so delusional. Every one of them thinks their kid is better than Maya, better than Stewie, better than Paige, better than anybody.â
âThey think they should play 35 minutes every single game. These kids are under so much pressure that if they donât live up to that, theyâre not having any fun.â
âWhat makes my job hard is trying to make sure these kids all understand that it can be a lot of fun, but everything has to be in perspective.â
âSometimes the hardest part of my job is that weâve all kind of lost perspective of how all this works and what it means.â
âWinning games and all that stuff, thatâs not hard. Itâs the other stuff thatâs hard.â
