Everyone carries a heavy burden. This man is doing productive work for pay that he needs for bills. This is the husband and father who does unglamorous work daily so that society functions. And there are millions of him. Not surprising at all Americans have rallied around him.

A TV channel interviewed George Mustas, Bob Uecker’s childhood friend and went on to say that Pat Murphy isn’t the only one getting messages from Ueck. I actually got one the other day. I asked: George: How’s it going up there? Bob: He said great. I got some good news and some bad news. George: What’s the good news? Bob: We play ball everyday up here George: Well what’s the bad news? Bob: you’re pitching tomorrow. I can see why these two were friends for so long. Best thing you’ll watch today.

Powerful moment and a great reminder: Tell people what they mean to you while you still can. Celebrate them, honor them, thank them. You’ll regret it if you don’t.

Quarterback Alex Smith says his life was completely changed by his experience in rehab with servicemen and women who lost limbs overseas. Smith says he was bitter about life after suffering a grotesque leg injury. It wasn't until he rehabbed with military amputees that his mindset completely changed. "I was very bitter for a long time in my rehab process." "I got this thing called the Secretary of Defense designation... I got access to military medical care." Smith says when he looked around at all the servicemen and women who had severe injuries, his outlook completely changed. "There's like double amputees, there's triple amputees, there's terrible burn victims in there. And nobody's hiding behind their scars." "... it was like the only place in the world where those guys were egging me on and like goading me to do more..." "Fast forward 2 years later... come back and lace up cleats again and put on a helmet and go play." Awesome story. Vid: @BussinWTB

Northwestern University head football coach David Braun is the most recent prominent sports figure to spotlight the failure of legalizing commercialized sports gambling across the country: "I’m telling you what, I got 11-year-old and 9-year-old boys at home and I am terrified of how addictive gambling is... It’s predatory. It’s messed up what’s going on. You look at 18-25 year old young men out there right now and the predatory nature of this stuff—it’s really scary."

Coaching the average MS/HS athlete how to properly squat 10 years ago was a lot easier than it is today. I will also throw skipping, hopping, push ups etc.. into the mix. Its wild how many MS/HS kids have Coordination, mobility restrictions. We live in an era with skill development being shoved into kids faces 24/7 all while BASIC Physical literacy baselines are not being met. Then we ask ourselves why injury rates are going up.

Kids think they have forever. That high school football never ends. When you are a freshman it seems like it will always be there. Now we are 24 hours from the last game of the regular season. They don’t realize how fast it’s over. Never take it for granted. High school football is a beautiful experience through all of its struggles and all of the peaks and valleys it presents. Cherish the moment.

“Look at what has gotten cheaper in America over the last 25 years: TVs, phones, software, clothes, toys. Now look at what has exploded: college tuition, healthcare, childcare, housing. What separates the two lists? The first lives in competitive markets. The second is exactly where government is most involved”
My post about France went viral. Thousands of likes. Many Americans told me: "Democrats aren't socialists. America will never be France." I want to answer that seriously, step by step. Start with a simple observation. Look at what has gotten cheaper in America over the last 25 years: TVs, phones, software, clothes, toys. Now look at what has exploded: college tuition, healthcare, childcare, housing. What separates the two lists? The first lives in competitive markets. The second is exactly where government is most involved: subsidies, mandates, licensing, zoning, regulation. College. Washington lends students almost unlimited money. Universities know the money will always come, so they raise tuition and hire more administrators. The student pays the bill for twenty years. More government money, higher prices. Housing. Why can't a nurse buy a home in the city where she works? Not because of capitalism. Because of zoning laws, permits, environmental reviews, years of procedure to build a single building. The most expensive places to live in America are the places where it's hardest to build. When building is nearly illegal, prices explode. Healthcare. The patient almost never sees the price. A third party pays, regulations limit who can compete, and costs climb year after year with no one able to say no. So here is the trap. The problems you suffer from are not the failure of free markets. They are the places where the market has already been replaced by the state. And the solution you're being offered is more of the same. That's the Trojan horse. It always works the same way. A real problem. A generous-sounding promise. A program that makes things worse. Then the failure of that program becomes the argument for the next one. People who lived under communism in Poland learned to recognize the lie and the mask the lie wears. The lie never presents itself as a lie. It presents itself as compassion. In France we are at the end of that road. Debt we can never repay. Young people who can't afford a home. Our best people leaving. And every few years our cities burn. Nobody voted for this. They voted for one more generous promise, fifty years in a row. If you're a Republican, share this with the Democrat in your life. Not to win an argument. To start a conversation. If you're a Democrat, I'm not asking you to switch teams. I'm asking you to look at the pattern. Wherever the state took over, life became unaffordable. Don't fix the failures of government with more government. Stay American. Ask for less state, not more.

Cop killer ambushed Philly police officers killing one. In an attempt to play the insane card the world should know this. After shooting the cops he ran into the alley and called 911 saying the shooter was down. He knew what he was doing. He tried to lure more cops into another trap. This city worker, who was charged with homicide before, knew exactly what he was doing last night.

In my opinion, if your school bus has the only 3 kids who’s parents didn’t come to the game/meet on the return trip home… you have a culture problem. Ride the bus home with your team. Laugh with your friends and enjoy the time together, win or lose. Help coaches put equipment away. Say good bye and thank you.
