If you’re going to set high goals for yourself, you have to consider the lifestyle it’s going to require to achieve that goal. You can’t commit to the destination if you’re not willing to commit to the process required to get you there.

Today feels like the hottest day of the whole trip. It’s October 12 and we have 93 Fahrenheit (34°C)… Crazy thing is that this Saturday it’s supposed to drop to just 67 (19°C).
We still used the day to see more of the Texas State Fair and also went to the JFK assassination site here in Dallas.

I’m in love with this sentence:
“A person's capacity for growth is directly linked to how much truth they can handle about themselves without running away.”

Five things that keep people from becoming great.
I've been coaching for over 40 years, and these are the ones I see over and over. 🧵

Our very short stop at Ole Miss is already over. This was definitely not enough time and we need to come back for a gameday here. We walked across campus last night and visited the stadium. The campus is one of the nicest we’ve seen so far.
This morning we went to a breakfast spot that someone we met in Cullman, who graduated from Ole Miss, recommended to us. Finally something healthy to eat. Now it’s time to get back on the road and drive to Arkansas.

6. People become what the room expects of them.
If the room lets a standard slide, it slides.
If the room corrects the small thing every single day, people stop believing small things are small.
My goal is to build an environment where success is inevitable.

These guys are so much fun to be around. I know everyone says they like their team, but man are they a blessing in my family’s life. Ready to compete with these guys. ❤️ 🏀

No other players will be placed on the commissioner exempt list today. Other matters still remain under the league’s review: Puka Nacua and Alaric Jackson in Los Angeles, Rashod Bateman in Baltimore.

Stress the system to become less stressed ‼️
Having not just one defender but now two defenders sprinting out at you will naturally bring more pressure and anxiety to the shooter, IF you do not expose them to this situation often.
Which is why we want to stress and overload the system like throwing a second defender in to contest the shot, so the body can remain organized amongst these higher pressure situations.
The more we can simulate these conditions the better we can get at training the system to remain calm in the chaos.
Still time to sign up! Check the QR Code for registration.

People can help you in many ways throughout life, but there are two things nobody can give you: curiosity and drive. They must be self-supplied.
If you are not interested and curious, all the information in the world can be at your fingertips, but it will be relatively useless. If you are not motivated and driven, whatever connections or opportunities are available to you will be rendered inert.
Now, you won't feel curious and driven about every area of life, and that's fine. But it really pays to find something that lights you up. This is one of the primary quests of life: to find the thing that ignites your curiosity and drive.
There are many recipes for success. There is no single way to win. But nearly all recipes include two ingredients: curiosity and drive.

The two biggest roadblocks we see keeping players from reaching their potential...
1. Immaturity - reacting emotionally, avoiding responsibility, and lacking the discipline to stay focused
2. Insecurity - lacking the confidence to fully show up
