The Steelers wanted to sign DT Sebastian Valdez off the 49ers' practice squad last season, but Valdez decided to stay with the Niners:
“I believe in this team. I believe in the system that we have. I believe in everything (the 49ers) strive for. And I know the grass isn't always greener on the other side. So, yeah, I made the decision to stay.”

This is how I always viewed coaching.
Every season is different. Different players. Different strengths. Different challenges.
My job wasn’t to force every team to look the same.
My job was to get the absolute most out of the team and talent we had.
For me, that came down to three things:
1. Build the culture.
2. Develop leaders.
3. Find the strategy that gives THIS team the best chance to win.
You don’t coach the team you wish you had.
You coach the team you have.
Great coaching is figuring out what your team can become, and then helping them get there.

One of the hardest workers I know. Talented kicker(D end and Offensive Guard), resilient, great leader and teammate. SMART player and in the classroom as well. Loves the game! Most importantly, amazing human. Keep grinding Chase. I know I'm biased but coaches spend time with him and you'll understand! 5️⃣4️⃣🏈
