It’s incredibly refreshing to watch every single player stand for the National Anthem during the World Series, with their hand over their heart in honor & respect for America & the military members who served/are serving & those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Take notes @AtlantaDream & @valkyries. This is how it’s done.

Here is a list of the major cities we will be holding our Dirt Bro @DirtBroUSA Elite Infield Academies in over the next two months! This is authentic 7 hours a day INF training for serious players looking to elevate their play to the highest levels…. see you there!
Our Elite Infield Academies are built to give players more than a weekend of mindless reps. We teach the routines, details, drills and thought process behind becoming a better infielder, so players leave knowing how to continue the work on their own.
Multiple stops remaining on our Fall/Winter schedule. 📍
Spots are limited at each location to protect the quality of instruction and reps.

Blood clot in a world class athlete?
Gee, I wonder what caused it!
Breaking: After consultations with numerous doctors and experts that went into Saturday, the Eagles are placing quarterback Jalen Hurts on injured reserve, sources tell @rapsheet and me. The move will sideline Hurts indefinitely.
More info to come.

There’s ZERO reason for travel ball at 8, 9, or 10. Play Little League, develop, and have fun. If I could do it again, I wouldn’t recommend travel ball that young. I’ve seen too many kids burned out by high school. Agree or disagree, that’s my take.

This should be in every locker room in the country.
Tough ass gamers can beat the hall of famers.
Pat Murphy is a JYD and his team took on his personality and not the personality of the data nerds in the office.
The people that say the Brewers are a data and analytics organization have no idea how valuable toughness and resilience and basic fundamentals are in competitive athletics.
They also do not understand team chemistry is built with the demand of accountability from the manager and coaches and most importantly players.
Brewers Ball is real baseball because of real baseball people.

If you still believe that infielder’s feet are on the ground when the ball crosses the plate (or is hit). Watch this video and read the keys in the post below.
Side note: the 2nd baseman actually gains ground towards the pull side as the pitch is in flight to the plate. He is doing this because he sees an advantage to do so. Likely based on the pitch being thrown and what he knows about this hitter.
Incredible prep step view from the NLCS.
SS, 2B and CF are all in frame, giving us a great look at how their prep steps time up with the pitcher’s knee drop, the ball entering the hitting zone, and contact.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t want your feet planted at the exact moment of contact. Notice how these fielders are slightly in the air as the ball enters the hitting zone and time their feet to land a split second AFTER contact.
This allows the eyes to read where the ball is headed based on the contact angle. As the feet come back to the ground, the body can begin to self organize and align in that direction. The fielder can then use the ground to explode into a clean first step directly where he needs to go.
Landing too early can leave you stagnant or flat footed and create unnecessary false steps. Timing it correctly can help you get a cleaner first move and ultimately gain valuable range.
Small detail, but a really quality look that we don’t get often from a TV broadcast.

Rainy Day 2 in the Triangle Area didn’t slow us down. 👊⚾️
We mixed in a variety of wall work, changing the distance to create different reaction times, reads, and footwork patterns. We worked neutral plays, lateral plays, slow rollers, and put our campers through a high volume of high intensity reps to finish off a great weekend.
Different reps. Different reactions. Learning to adjust and make plays.
Thank you to an awesome group of campers for bringing the energy all weekend!
Our November public camps are coming up:
📍 November 14–15: New York City / North Jersey
📍 November 21–22: Huntsville / Madison, AL
📍 November 23–24: St. Simons Island / Golden Isles, GA

As a former professional athlete who sacrificed more than most people will ever understand to reach the highest level of my craft, I find it absolutely COMICAL watching some of the most unathletic, undisciplined, uncoordinated people who have NEVER been elite at anything in their lives sit around and call professional athletes TRASH. 😂
Like seriously….. WTF am I missing? What exactly have YOU accomplished that gives you this sense of superiority over someone who reached a level that less than 1% of athletes will ever experience?
Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and criticism comes with the territory. I get that. But it’s always fascinating how some of the loudest voices belong to people who haven’t accomplished a damn thing athletically since high school.
There’s a BIG difference between having an opinion about the game and disrespecting someone who actually mastered their craft enough to play it professionally.
Some of y’all need to learn that difference. 💯

I am so sick of hitters being excited about pullside hooked line drives in their training. It is one of the worst things you can do and is actively working against you becoming a good in-game hitter.

Max Muncy says MLB teams are using AI programs to help identify pitch-tipping
“You plug in pitches and the AI program points differences on where the glove is and hand position. That’s what you have been beginning to see with first and third base coaches”
