DeSci is and will be 100x enabled by AI -
each of the 5 figures (except for customers) can be an agent.
Scientists and individuals won't have any more to choose a role but can orchestrate agents that will take on most of the menial work.
From DeSci to DesAI
DeSci for me is building science from first principles.
Science needs 5 figures to work:
1. A builder with ideas for products, interventions, diagnostics
2. A funder paying for the experiments that test them
3. An executor running the experiments
4. A reviewer checking the plan is sound and the results hold
5. A customer buying what comes out of it
DeSci says you can be builder, reviewer and customer at once, with no credential, learning by doing and studying yourself.
Everything we put on top, university administrators, government agencies, the FDA, insurance, prescriptions, was never needed and won’t be.

Introducing Omnii-1, our most powerful genome language model, and a major step toward general biological intelligence
In a world first, Omnii-1 designed the first AI-generated bacteriophages to be administered to a human patient with an antibiotic-resistant infection under compassionate use

We’ve acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate the complex process of drug development.
Together, we’ll build on Rosalind, our AI models and tools for life sciences research, to streamline those operations and help new treatments reach patients sooner.
Welcome @ashokaraj_ and team!

People who cured / are curing their own cancer on X:
1/ @sytses - bone cancer, billionaire founder of Gitlab, developed 10+ personalized therapies for himself.
2/ @paul_conyngham - shrank his dog Rosie's mast cell cancer tumors after chemo and surgery weren't enough. Now backed by YC and Founders Fund
3/ @miriamgonp - stage 4 breast cancer, tumor sequenced, searching for vaccine manufacturer now
4/ @kevinace - stage 4 lung cancer, angel investor in 300+ companies, first drug stopped working after 18 months. Vaccine designed, now paying $300k out of pocket for the vaccine
5/ @masonbgrant: going founder mode on his his 32-year-old wife's rare liver cancer, sequencing her tumor with AI agents
6/ @ArunRLverma: former product leader at Atoms and Shopify, brain tumor, built a vaccine from his tumor. Now building an AI health agent startup based on what he went through
We're going to make it

Cool eval. Simply ask an LLM “Land or Water?” and give it a latitude and longitude coordinate as text. Ask 16,200 times, plot as image. The models know. From compressing the internet.

Phenomenal to see these AI scientist workflows. One particular example: 25 minutes to 25 seconds. Reinventing pipelines completely from the ground up. Discovering new materials. Love all of this. More! Faster! Better! Help the humans @ReactorfieldAI

Congrats Man ❤️
So glad we’re able to show how amazing this project means, it’s a passion project for @undiagnosed_1 and Im glad to handle such enormous responsibilities, there’s so much potential in this can’t wait to see where it goes

Let’s go!
I’m so happy to work with @oxMichelangelo and @Codaracodes on this project that could really improve my quality of life — my #Q60 #T2T genome will be deciphered and analyzed. Hoping this could be a template for other rare disease patients!

A few weeks ago I saw a post from @undiagnosed_1 and inspired by it, I reached out - he told me about his rare disease, and how it was misdiagnosed for years, including seven short read genomes from top providers.
His gene was sitting in a sequence gap, the 8% that short reads drop, and long read finally found it.
He then got a telomere to telomere genome from Karen Miga, the person behind the first complete human genome. 6.93 terabytes, and he was looking to find somebody to analyze it.
I told him to post about it on X.
@Codaracodes commented. A self taught biologist who learned genomics in a year.
They agreed on a project plan and they are now posting in public on @openlabsbio .
New features are coming that will support JJ's work. Results will be published with Research to the People.
DeSci at its best.
If you are sitting on data and nobody will fund the analysis, my DMs are open.
