Note: on #ConfederateHistoryMonth: just a friendly reminder that confederates committed treason to stupidly attack a country with 3 times their manpower and ALL of the military industry, primarily to defend the right to own, trade, beat and rape other humans.

If `s` is address-escaped / a global, a conforming compiler may not introduce a write to `s` when `b` is `false` without potentially introducing a data race.

Why are crickets so strongly attracted to bad jokes?

"Supporting" is a bit of an overstatement: support for deducing this in MSVC is partial. (I don't recall precisely why other than "it doesn't work in modules yet" but @starfreakclone could explain in detail if you like.)
Using "unstabilized" features with libc++ on Compiler Explorer is, err, expert-friendly: godbolt.org/z/aEffYbhcc
(github.com/compiler-explorer…, for those lacking context.)

Your Compiler Explorer example is using libstdc++. See @mattgodbolt ? This is why.

Once is an anomaly.
Twice is a coincidence.
Three times is a pattern.
Four times is enough.
We've had enough of harassment and coverups.
We have failed to make the C++ community safe.
It's time for change. Leadership must prioritize safety.

Hopefully they'll ban dihydrogen monoxide next. It's been found in the water supply of every major urban center in America!
That's the conversion operator version of a deduced return type. The compiler deduces what type the conversion operator produces by looking at the return statements in the function body.

It's less readable _and_ less efficient!

Why bother with `hello[]` when you could simply (std::cout << ... << str)? (godbolt.org/z/efG97nMjP)

"C with member functions"

If that's the case, it's probably not a regression which means we won't be able to do much about it unless very many customers report it. Sorry!

Default constructing a vector<T> doesn't instantiate any of T's special member functions, except the destructor: godbolt.org/z/PaWEYMnb9. What problem are you seeing?

Where's the "Request Changes" button in the Twitter code review UI?
