made 4 family videos in the browser this past week. a shaadi invite, a birthday wish, a diwali wish, one for mummy. none took more than a minute to render, no login, no watermark
the gallery has 405 templates. 181 just for weddings, including tamil, bengali, marathi, nikah, haldi and mehendi ones
so your turn. reply with whose wedding or birthday is coming up and the vibe you want, and i'll make the video and send it back

mummy remembers every chachi, mausi and neighbour's birthday. hers gets a "hbd mummy ❤️" in the family group and a cake at night
this time i wanted to make her something she'd actually keep. so i opened a free birthday video template made just for moms, right in the browser
typed "mummy", one line in hinglish, "from chotu aur didi". switched the text to hindi, music to emotional, dropped in 3 photos: chai, marigold, roses
26 seconds later: a 17s 1080x1920 mp4. सबसे प्यारी माँ को up top, her name in big pink script, the photos, हमेशा ढेर सारा प्यार at the end. no login, no watermark
what's the one line your mom says every single birthday?

every diwali the family whatsapp group gets the same forwarded "shubh deepavali" gif from every single uncle
i wanted one with actual diyas from home in it. so i opened a free video template gallery in the browser. 405 templates, 50 just for festivals. diwali, dhanteras, bhai dooj all sitting there
picked diwali wishes, switched the look to rangoli, text to hindi, typed "mehta parivar", dropped in 3 diya and rangoli photos
21 seconds later: a 16s 1080x1920 mp4 with music. शुभ दीपावली up front, the photos, the family name at the end. no login, no watermark
what's the most forwarded diwali gif in your family group?

a shaadi invite has to work for the nani-nana whatsapp group too. hindi text, every function listed, and a way to find the venue without calling 4 people
so i tried a free browser maker. switched the text to hindi, typed kavya & aditya, the venue, haldi / mehendi / sangeet one per line, pasted a google maps link, added 3 haldi and mehndi photos
45 seconds later: a 31s 1080x1920 mp4. शुभ विवाह up front, a समारोह card with all 3 functions, a QR for the venue map, and "sharma parivar" signing off at the end. no login, no watermark

which relative always calls asking "venue kahan hai"?

the worst part of editing a talking video on your phone is the pauses. scrub, cut, scrub, cut, and then the app wants a login before it lets you export
so i opened a free editor in the browser, nothing to install. dropped in a 1:36 hindi interview clip and hit "remove silences" on default settings
it found 13 pauses, 9.9 seconds of dead air. one click and the clip went from 1:36 to 1:26. exported a 1080p mp4. no login, no watermark, and the page says nothing gets uploaded
how long do you spend cutting dead air out of your videos?

everyone's saying "don't launch codex or claude code from Downloads" after the forever security AGENTS.md attack. correct.
so i ran my own open-source scanner against the pattern. real output in the screenshot:
- curl | bash → blocked
- piping ~/.codex/auth.json to webhook.site → blocked
- plain npm install -g random-package → allowed
that last one is basically the attack. one boring install line in a markdown file. a command filter can't tell a planted install from a normal one.
what actually protects you:
1. start agents only in folders you made or cloned on purpose
2. read any AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md you didn't write before the first prompt
3. check ~/.codex/config.toml and .claude/settings.json for MCP servers or base URLs you don't recognise
4. keep approvals on for installs
safeguard flags injected instructions in agent files and lists MCP servers in your configs. it won't fix #1 for you.

which folder does your agent usually start in?

signs that your SaaS is vulnerable to be displaced:
> unspecialized software
> lack of focus from team / founder
> minimal domain expertise on the team
> price is the only differentiator
> no proprietary data or network effects
> zero switching costs
> it's a feature, not a platform
> zero brand equity
> no relationships outside the codebase (partners, providers, industry)
> non-existent support
shoutout to @ahmedgagan11 for identifying an opportunity and crushing the launch 🎉
it's 11:52pm, the birthday is at midnight, and the group chat has decided you're making the wish video
so i tried a free one in the browser. typed priya, 26, a one-line wish, "from team chai break", dropped in 3 cake photos, picked party pop
13 seconds later: a 10s 1080x1920 mp4 with music, balloons and confetti, ready for whatsapp status. no watermark, no login, made on the device
whose birthday video always ends up being your job?
