A note to Restore voters: I know ‘Vote Restore, Get Labour’ irritates some people so let me explain why I say it. Because it’s the truth. Voting Restore will hand this country to the Left. We’ve seen it in Dover, Blackpool, Dudley, and elsewhere. I get why Restore voters are livid. I am angrier than you with the state of the country, I suspect. But the reality is that the Right will lose the next general election if it does not consolidate. Roughly 60% of left-wing voters tell pollsters they are voting tactically. That’s Green or Lib Dems voting Labour not because they agree with Labour or Burnham. But because they want to stop the Right and they are putting the wider mission, not their party, first. But only 30% of right-wing voters are doing the same. The Left is much more disciplined and ruthless than the Right. The reason Burnham and Labour are now back on 30-32% is because they are winning back left wing voters who are willing to do whatever it takes to control the country. Greens holding their nose to vote Labour. Lib Dems holding their nose to do the same. 2024 Labour voters coming home to Labour to stop the Right. And they are on course to do it. All MRP polls suggest the Left is on course to win the next general election, whether by winning a majority or in coalition. That means more migration. More refugees. More taxes. More two-tier policies. More open borders. More soft-on-Islamism. More EU and free movement. And a system of PR to ensure the Left continue to dominate Britain going forward. They will give children, migrants and refugees the vote. They will turn a blind eye to family voting and mass postal fraud. That is what is about to happen. They will control Britain until at least the 2030s, maybe longer. Because they are boxing clever. Many pro-Restore voices who claim to represent you are fully invested in dividing the Right. Their YouTube channels, their “independent media”, their entire existence depends on amplifying the splits, the drama, the chaos on the Right. Those people will be fine under this long period of left-wing rule. They will continue to scream into their phones and encourage you to do the same. Rupert Lowe will probably end up in the Lords, put there by the same Tories who just put him on a committee and who he himself says “he talks to all the time”. But the British people, the country, will lose out. It is the people who will be screwed. And just look at the total hypocrisy. Restore criticise Reform for taking one or two ex-conservatives. While Restore is literally standing ex-Tories at the next general election!! You do know this? I just think you are being led up the garden path by a lot of people who do not understand how first-past-the-post systems work and are invested in sowing chaos. The only way the Left is stopped is by winning a broad coalition. That coalition is there. At recent local elections upwards of 50% have been voting for right-wing parties. But Labour and Green candidates have been winning on just 25-30% of the vote. That is your next general election. It’s not about Nigel, or Rupert, or even Reform or Restore. It is about the country. It is about the British people. Look at France right now. One right-wing party is preparing to win the presidency and power. Another is flailing around on 3%. Do you want power or 3%? To leave the ECHR or 3%? To end mass migration or 3%? To ban Muslim Brotherhood or 3%? To stop the boats or 3%? To end welfare for foreign nationals and slash overseas aid or 3%? It is about whether the Right is going to be smart enough, ruthless enough and disciplined enough to put the country first. Because if we don’t we will lose it. It is that simple. The Left understand what is required to win power. Many people on the Right currently do not. That has to change otherwise it is game over.

A message to the North East, a region that means so very much to me, but it matters to each of you with these new almighty mayors too. This is Kim McGuinness. The Labour Mayor who sat in a room with the Prime Minister and a table full of elected mayors last week and complained that your councils were getting in her way. Her words: "They could stop me from doing it. And I don't think that's right, either on this or other things." This was never just about a tourist tax. It's about who gets to decide what happens in your town. I'm a County Durham lad. My grandad, and generations of my family before him, went down the pits here. My mam and dad met working in the factories of Stanley. I was brought up to believe that power belongs as close as possible to the people it affects. In your street. In your village. With the councillors you can stop in Tesco and give a piece of your mind. So let me walk you through what's happened. In 2024, Kim McGuinness stood for mayor promising a £1 a night charge on hotel rooms. A quid. A "small charge," she called it. Now she wants a levy of up to 5% on every booking. On a £150 hotel room, that's £7.50 a night. Every hotel, B&B, guest house and holiday let in the region. That isn't the small charge she put in her manifesto. It's a massive escalation she never asked you about. Then something happened she didn't plan for. You voted. After she was elected, the people of Durham, Sunderland, Gateshead and South Tyneside put Reform in charge of their councils. Those are mandates every bit as real as hers, and more recent. In September, the four of us wrote to her asking her to rule this tax out. Northumberland's Conservatives oppose it too. That's five of the seven council leaders on her own cabinet, from two different parties. So what was the first thing she did? She didn't come back to us. She didn't try to change our minds. She went straight to the Prime Minister, in front of mayors from across the country, and asked for the power to overrule the councils you elected. Let's be clear about what that means. Devolution was supposed to take power out of Westminster and hand it back to communities. What Kim McGuinness wants is to take power out of Westminster and park it on one desk in Newcastle. Hers. That isn't devolution. It's centralisation with a regional postcode. It reduces your local councils to powerless chambers with a car park. She was asked to pick between the councils you elect to serve your community and more power for herself. She picked herself. And she told the PM it wasn't just about this. "Other things," she said. So ask yourself what comes next. If your council can't stop her taxing visitors, can it stop a thousand homes going up on the edge of your village? A solar farm across good farmland? Turbines on your skyline? She wants the answer to be no. Follow the money too. In that same meeting, which project did she talk up? Newcastle. She didn't name a single Durham town. Durham's guest houses collect it. Tyneside spends it. Her reply to me in the Chronicle was 200 words on why her tax is wonderful. There wasn't a single word denying she'd asked the Prime Minister to overrule the leaders you elected. Not one. I don't think that's right. I don't think any of you voted for that. And I'm not going to sit quietly whilst it happens either.

Labour’s Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has said the anti-invasion protestors would kill her if they could. She has no evidence for this whatsoever. She is prejudicing trials. She also clearly hates patriotic British people. A disgrace to her office.

A great morning spent with a fantastic group of people across Southampton as part of National Litter Pick Day. Volunteers, councillors, members, friends and local residents all giving up a couple of hours to help make our communities that little bit cleaner. A big thank you to everyone who came along and played their part. We finished the morning the best way possible... together at the local pub, enjoying a well-earned catch-up. @reformparty_uk @ReformDaily_ @tim4thornhill @Coldbeerchance @smpowellvaughan @JohnEdwardsRUK @PhilipCrook9 @Ryan4Woolston

Momentum is building in Southampton. Following a productive Branch AGM, we've appointed a strong leadership team and have already started putting plans in place for the future. Discussions are underway around developing Ward Captains, growing our activist network, increasing membership, expanding campaigning activity, and organising fundraising and community events. At the same time, our 8 Reform UK councillors are settling into their new roles, establishing local surgeries, engaging with residents, learning council procedures, and beginning the hard work of delivering for the communities that elected them. Politics is about more than winning elections. It's about building teams, developing people, creating sustainable structures, and earning the trust of residents over the long term. #ReformUK #Southampton #LocalPolitics #CommunityFirst @PhilipCrook9 @JohnEdwardsRUK @smpowellvaughan @tim4thornhill @Ryan4Woolston @Coldbeerchance @ReformDaily_ @reformparty_uk

The media loves division. Most ordinary people don't. Seeing a Sikh gentleman shaking hands with local patriots last night was a reminder that this isn't about colour or creed. It's about fairness, justice and looking after our communities. The frustration many people feel is understandable. Years of neglect, ignorance and being ignored have taken their toll, and emotions are running high. But protest must remain civil. Violence only hands ammunition to those who want to dismiss legitimate concerns and fuels the very people who thrive on division. Respect is earned through character, not background. facebook.com/reel/2653284405… @PhilipCrook9 @JohnEdwardsRUK @Coldbeerchance @smpowellvaughan @tim4thornhill @Ryan4Woolston @ReformDaily_ @reformparty_uk @sotontimes @south
