Bizarre and clumsy move by Peters. It was not for him to send such a message but for Luxon. Peters just wanted to get in first and show he runs foreign affairs. But it exposed that Lula no longer rates him, having not bothered to see him when Peters visited Brazil earlier this year whereas he did when Peters visited in 2007. And in the other direction, Peters has pissed off his redneck followers and potentially the MAGA gang in Washington (if they notice, unlikely).
