Concerns about safety, air quality and fire risk at the Ripleys scrapheap for years. Maybe now it's on fire the @EnvAgency will listen? Local residents told by fire service to keep windows closed meanwhile.... we need more than this!

Laughable that @transportgovuk should boast about paltry £22m on the whole national cycle network. £23 million is being wasted on @EastSussexCC Newhaven Port Access Road alone - just 650m long and requires bulldozing a local wildlife site
🚴♀️ and 🚶♂️ should be the natural choice for shorter journeys, or as part of a longer journey.
We’ve:
✅ Delivered 410 🚴♀️ and 🚶♂️ schemes across England
✅ 1 million Bikeability training sessions
✅ Invested £22m in the National Cycle Network
