For someone who calls themselves Lord of The Facts you're actually pretty retarded.
I have never supported the Snyder Bros and their cult like Behavior because I know that they're never going to get their way
I don't support the James gunstands that act as bad as the Snyder Bros do
You may not like my opinion but you'll be hard-pressed to deny the facts that I use. Which is why when I look at your username I can't help but laugh

muted it. But I essentially had random DC fans send death threats to me, my family, my non existing children and try to end my career because I thought Clayface had poor pacing. Reeks of misogyny plus his issue is no one follows my RT?

What are you trying to do here Donovan? You didn’t add anything to the conversation and simply restated what I did in a different way to try and prove me wrong for some reason.

People upset about this is absolute insanity.
Just a bunch of soft babies in this world anymore

Mantle sharing in comic books is entirely the result of the Big Two refusing to evolve and allow characters to grow, and it shocks me to see so many people eat it up
It objectively sucks for every character involved and idk how people don’t see that

Our algorithms must be different because the DCU fandom I see most of the time are very ignorant and dismissive towards those who don’t like something. Everyone has different tastes

I think James Gunn's latest explanation of the DCU is a bit of a cop-out.
Gunn says the DCU is a universe where individual stories can exist without necessarily building toward something bigger. And look, I get it. CLAYFACE should work as a horror movie on its own. LANTERNS should be able to tell its own story. Nobody needs every project to end with some guy showing up to recruit the next superhero. But if you're building a shared universe, shouldn't there be some larger stakes? Some reason for audiences to invest their time and care about what happens next?
Look at AVENGERS: ENDGAME ENCORE. A seven-year-old movie with a handful of new scenes connecting it to DOOMSDAY just opened to $26 MILLION domestically. That's roughly what CLAYFACE is currently projected to make. Apples to oranges? Absolutely. But Marvel spent years building audience investment, delivered a massive payoff, and now people are showing up AGAIN because they're excited about where the story goes next. Their time and dedication meant something.
And that's what frustrates me about Gunn's answer. I don't think every DCU project needs to be homework for the next one, but there should be a larger narrative that rewards people for paying attention. Otherwise, what's the point of building an interconnected universe in the first place?
I'm starting to wonder if Gunn is so determined to avoid copying Marvel that he's overlooking one of the biggest reasons the MCU worked.
You don't have to copy the formula. But maybe don't ignore why people loved it.

You literally have any DCEU movie discussion banned in your server
You called people who wanted faithfulness to the source material for lanterns "comic dorks"
You said Hal's pathetic funeral was better than Tony Stark's which encapsulated a decade of cinematic storytelling
Stfu!
