Each time I've watched this video it's given me chills.
A Desoto County mother shared this Ring video with me. Four days after the camera was installed in her daughters' room she says someone hacked the camera & began talking to her 8-year-old daughter.

Last paragraph is most revealing: Lyft says it didn't discount rides for 3 days. What happened? "The price of rides increased by 24% during that period, while rides dropped by 26% and driver earnings dropped by 15%."
A lot to unpack: 1/4
.@ClaytonGuse reports: Despite moratorium, wage regs, ride fee, Uber and Lyft NYC ridership at record levels in Jan. and Feb. And contrary to Lyft IPO claims, Uber is still nearly 3X Lyft ride volumes. bit.ly/2GkOz1a

What this doesn’t mention is when @Uber conceded to @DidiChuxing in China, it gave them a monopoly. Total industry control. DiDi reacted by slashing driver pay by 40% according to some drivers. We must always fight laws that would grant Uber or @Lyft a monopoly.

So often hurricanes act as a brutal unveiling: all the tucked away sacrifice zones are suddenly exposed to the light. Industrial scale animal agriculture is a disaster every single day for the people who live nearby. When that industry collides with a climate disaster, look out.

Hey Uber! I don’t think you should be in urban centres competing with cabs, but I do think you should be pursuing opportunities in areas underserved by public transit, like you do in Innisfil. How about you take on transportation in Western Canada now that the buses are gone?
